dude, didn't think you were into Slipknot. I know lots of metalheads think they suck, but the Iowa album was extremely good (Vol. 3 i liked a little less, it's not as ... focussed)

It's one of those instances where no matter how much I wanted to dislike them, they put forth such a strong offering I felt I'd be cutting off my nose to spite my face.

Iowa is my favorite of theirs, too.

My First Metal:
War Pigs - Black Sabbath
Breaking the Law - Judas Priest
The one and only, Van Halen(not Van Hagar)
Live Wire - Motley Crue
Metal Health - Quiet Riot
Metal Heart - Accept

Gadw, I can barley listen to some of that these days...that's what actually learning how to play guitar will do, i guess...still fun.

Next Installment: Nu Metal that wont make the Boog projectile vomit.

The life of technical death:

Nile - Black Seeds of Vengeance

Necrophagist - Only Ash Remains (very cool little jazzy interlude in this one)

My first metal:

Metallica - Enter Sandman (not gonna bother linking that, if you're in here you should know it by heart)

Life Of Agony - This Time

Sepultura - Territory (i shouldn't link it either, but i really like the video)

Machine Head - Davidian

Fear Factory - Self Bias Resistor

Yes, you can perfectly date the period i started listening to metal, just by looking at the release dates of these albums. And i still think the best metal was made in the first half of the 90's.

0mFg.

Funny thing about Rob Barrett, d00d looks like a high school math teacher. Weirdest little guy in the band, but one of the best guitar players I have ever seen.

These Arms Are Snakes

...are a band from Seattle, much like Botch.
My friend used to work eith the drummer. I've drank with him a few times.

Drummers are always fuggin' weirdos. Dunno what that is.

Machine Head, The Blackening e-card posted!

Contains a new song from the upcoming album, and a message from the drummer. The new stuff sounds very guitar oriented and certainly more melodic than i expected. I want this album, now.

edit: another new song: Aesthetics of Hate is available on their myspace page.

Britney Spears Remixed

After losing her mind last month, she could go all punk and pull it off. I think Disney programmed her to have a nervous breakdown this year so they could "reinvent" her. It'll probably start happening every 7 years.
