Will he blog again? Will he start posting on the WGB?

Guess the date of WG's return and post your answers below.

The person who comes the closest will win the following Grand Prize:

A first edition UK paperback of Douglas Coupland's "Polaroids from the Dead", Flamingo, 1996

(Why am I giving away one of my Coupland books? Because I've also got the US hardcover edition, that's why.)

Remember to post both the time and date in your competition entry. Only one entry per WGB-member.

The fun thing about this contest is that Gibson can play favorites. If he wants *you* to win, he can simply start blogging on that date.

So go ahead folks. Guess the date (and remember to post the time as well).

That's a little harsh, no? I say on my birthday Febuary 26 at 7:44pm.

BTW what the heck's been going on here since I've been gone? I've gotten E-mails complaining of suckage, what's the deal?

I feel certain there's more, always is.

I say:
March 2 2005 22:12:00 (GMT)

If you specify a time , you also need to specify time zone or else it is somewhat fuzzy.

It can take a stinkin' long time to write a novel...

Its taken me forever to write my own story, and its not even near done!!

I guess it depends on how long you actually want to make it...

Please use Pacific Standard Time. You don't need to bother writing PST in your post.

Boring, but here's my guess:

September 12, 2005, 6:06 AM PST

Exactly two years after his last blog.

I'm being optimistic here and supposing that he will actually blog again. Frown

Never.

I predict he'll finally get a real job; perhaps at the local mortuary, or maybe as co-host of CBC's new Radio 1 morning show, "Tabla & Company", along with Rusty the Rooster and the tempestuous, piss-swilling ghost of Marcel Duchamp.

Then again...

Hmmmm... Next time you find yourself in Canada's sodden western metropolyp, take a close look at the panhandlers who appear, wraithlike, as soon as you've used one of those open-air automatic teller machines. Take a very close look. At their shoes.

But if the very coppers in your coinpurse are suddenly set a-shivering, you'll know that HE blogs again.

Because, well, I am fallible.

y'know, MOM is right.
most panhandlers in Van are wearing more money in designer combat boots, tattoos, chains, bondage pants, leather jackets and facial piercings than i make in a week. no joke.

since never's out, Mad, his birthday, March 17, since it's 7 days before mine, i'll say 7:00pm

Well, we were thinking the same, though I'm more optimistic:
I'll go for sep. 12, this year. at 8 am

I say it takes about three to five months to write a book if you're dedicated, like 2000 words a day. period. So, I say April 19 2004 at 12 noon PST. Boomzilla say that too.

All other proof is inconsequential.

Well, the anniversary is today, so I am going to be really optimistic, and say today,

6 January 2004 23:00 PST

That way tomorrow I will know I am out of the contest, or the lucky winner.
