Remember the first time you listened to it?
I heard it for the first time a couple years after its release, it blew my mind, I didnt knew Rock could get to those places, I thought that only "serious" music could do that-
Bach, Berlioz... but this was different.
And It ROCKED hard too!

Yay for being under 35 Wink

My eldest brother played this on repeat during my youngest years, so its just always been there.. but I was only 3 when he left for Uni, and the other brothers music tastes took over and became the biggest influence on me musically

Can't really remember when it was the first time. my parents are divorced, so when I would stay with my dad he used to put on records like The Beatles and Pink Floyd, I must have been round 10.

But, what i can say with certainty is that 2 years ago, Roger Waters live, performing the complete Dark Side of the Moon (plus many others) was... is the best gig I've ever been.

I can't remember the first time, either. But I do remember the last time I heared it (in full), though. At my friend's place. It was the quadrophonic mix and it was quite an experience. Amazing how good that record still sounds. And yes, it rocked.

I still have the LP stuffed in some closet somewhere. I know it had the pyramid poster.

Pretty sure that's the second record I ever bought. On vinyl, of course, maybe 1980. (Playing catch-up. )

Wonder if it's out on 8-track yet?

I've never heard it. Oh sure, I've heard some of
the songs that are on it, but I've never heard it
as an album. Possibly because I've heard some of
the songs that are on it.

I married it.

Can't for the life of me remember the vinyl, only a home-recorded cassette tape (green label) dusty from car use and the title scrawled under scratched transparent plastic.

He played it a lot but I never go it under my skin, the way I did other tapes of his eventually. But the foreboding of
"You shout and no one seems to hear./And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes/I'll see you on the dark side of the moon."
was a backdrop to the early years of my marriage.
