For non-readers of my blog, the brief explanation of why I won't be around much for the next little while.

So, things might go a little quiet in here, because I'll be on planes for most of the next 2 days. Edmonton-Calgary at 4 o'clock this afternoon (52 min), then Calgary-London (8 hr 55 min). Shower and (hopefully) sleep (else watch bad German music TV and the same freakin' ad for downloadable ring tones (drei-funf-funf-funf) every 3.7 minutes for hours...) in a day hotel room in Heathrow, then get back to the airport early for the crazy long lines to try hard to get an aisle seat for the London-Johannesburg flight (10 hr 55 min). Dodge and reject all the porters in Jo'burg airport, using rugby techniques if necessary, check in at the domestic terminal and hang around for a couple of hours, then take a small 12-seater to Bloemfontein (1 hr 05 min), arriving there at 12:40 pm on Tuesday. Work there for a week and a half, then repeat those steps in reverse...

For Tuesday here, the forecast is low -4 C (25 F), high +6o C (43 F) - which is unseasonably warm for this time of year. For Bloemfontein, Tuesday's forecast is low 15 C (59 F), high 31 C (88 F). Aaaahhh...

...and access is much less 24/7 in Bloemfontein, so I may be a bit less ubiquitous (everyone heaves a sigh of relief!)
