I know the snow I'm getting here is nothing compared to a lot of more northerly regions, but DAMN, NYC is getting hit hard. It took me 2 hours to get from Brooklyn to the Upper West Side in Manhattan by subway because of all the snow. Any suggestions for a snowed in weekend? The only DVDs I have access to right now are Troy and Anchorman....and I left all my books at home. argh. i think i might have to check out central park

i dunno if you're a skater, but if you got any old decks and shoes sitting around, glue your front shoe to an old deck before you go to the park. If you have some wax, hit the bottom of the deck up, too. now, the walk to the park'll be a bit weird, what with only one snow shoe and all, but when you get there you'll have an attached mini snowboard.

more fun than a barrel of crack!

As I took care of a few errands on my way home from work last night the flakes began to fall. I hurried home. I've spent the day with my cats, napping, reading, and exploring cyberspace.

I'm afraid to go outside and look at my truck in the parking lot. My stupid town has barely plowed. As I look out the window, I see that the local merchants haven't bothered to shovel much either.

It was a steady parade of those SUVs these folks around here are so fond of. You just know they're congratulating themselves for having the foresight to buy 'em too. Never mind that the front-wheel-drive mini-vans are doing just as well.

Pfft! It'll all be melted by Wednesday.
