My favourite is track 3 "Encore". Brilliant.

good luck getting a tangible copy. i gave it a listen (got it last week), and it's very good for a mash-up. it's still hard for me to get past the jay-z bit, since i'm not a member of his fanclub.

It was an innovative idea but when I got it home and gave it a good listen I was again made aware of how uninspired J-Z's lyrics are.
That's why Nas broke off a foot in his ass.
A laudable effort nontheless if only for the fact I loved Danger Mouse as a kid.

I feel certain there's more, always is.

I find it was a nice idea and kind of deserves the hype it's getting now. The 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' song is quite good - I still find the 2 Many DJ's stuff a lot more interesting in the long run.

And yeah, hazey, huge fan of both Anticon and Def Jux here. (Just received the latest cLOUDDEAD 12'', with the adorable Boards Of Canada remix of 'Dead Dogs Two')

That is the standout on the Grey Album. Its a create concept, the execution is okay but nothing can save Jay Z.

A nice 2 Many DJs style mashup: Just A Reptilian (Dizzee Rascal Vs The Strokes) by Lionel Vinyl. That might be a little rough for some tastes but I like it. In a more classy vein is Poj Masta's Seriously Slow (Kylie Vs Four Tet).

Poj is also responsible for this beautiful glitchcore mix of Toxic by La Spears.

i only liked 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder' ... that's about it...

if you like the Grey Album you might actually like the following hip hop/trance mashup by DJ Whiskyclone:

"Alice Deejay [featuring Jay-Z, Ghostface Killah, Nas, Mobb Deep, Common, Dead Prez, RZA] Better Off Alone"

tigger68 should tell pooh53 to tell egor77 to ask christopher_robin politely to pull the damn plug!!! before it gets X rated...

dj z-trip kicks ass. I've never heard so many different types of music blended so seamlessly.

on "uneasy listening", he actually mixes Midnight oil's "beds are burning" with Metallica's "for whom the bell tolls" Lyrics intact!!

crazy Confused

(Insert witticism here)

Beatallica

'Authentic' 80ies metal combo merging Beatles and Metallica songs. No further comment needed.

However, given such gems as these...

quote:
EVERYBODY'S GOT A TICKET TO RIDE EXCEPT FOR ME AND MY LIGHTNING

C'mon, it's such a joy, c'mon you metal boy
C'mon let's take it easy
C'mon let's make it sleazy
Everybody's got a ticket to ride
Except for me and my lightning
Your insides ooze out, the electrodes are in
The electrodes are in so your eyeballs pop out....

...comment is certainly called for. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Let's just hope they don't get their asses kicked by a tag team of Paul McCartney and Lars Ulrich.
