Just wanted to say that Orbit Theater Co. in Vero Beach, FL (orbit@peoplepc.com) has agreed to stage a reading of my play by that name, probably on the last weekend of May. Once Orbit settles into its permanent building, we're going to do a full production.

You're all invited! (That includes you, Mr. G. You're one of my biggest influences.) It's my second play to go up on a stage -- phase one of my plan for interstellar conquest is going well!

I'll post more details as they get finalized.

Come to think of it, we'll be auditioning soon, so if there are any actors in the Vero Beach area...

In the play, in London, 1888, an engineer named James Greene builds a faux prostitute that's actually an elaborate mantrap. He and his banker friend Elwood Fletcher set it up in a court in Whitechapel and hide nearby. If everything works right, Jack the Ripper should come along and attack the Automaton, which will grab him, zap him with electricity, and make him an easy capture for James and Elwood.
