Sods. They've been promising black for yonks and now it's only available for paying customers?

As I understand it, unless you want a jaggy result, the image used would need to be significantly bigger than the ones on the board. If that's an issue.

You can get shirts from Shutterfly without having to set up shop. A lot of places that will print digital photos has the option to print mugs, shirts, etc.

I know a friend who knows a two-metre tall gay German silkscreener. They both live in the next suburb. Maybe I'll check it out.

If we're giving up on t-shirts, he used to be a headstone carver.

This is true. Gringo would have to supply us with 300 dpi or greater art for camera-ready use (though 150 would *probably* work okay). Depends on how big you want to scale the art, really.

We could go at it ad-hoc, you know? Just go off on our own and do it ourselves, if Gringo wouldn't mind getting us high resolution versions?

i don't know, where would i put a fuldog headstone? i mean the 3D glass bust, that would obviously replace the telly, but a headstone?

the every t-shirt produced as an individual item produced locally and unique and without the use of corporate input does certainly have an appeal. i know a few places in glasgow that print t-shirts, though not actually used any of them.

you really think fuldog would appreciate 60 of us sitting with gravestones waiting for him to visit and die? you know, even talking about it makes me uncomfortable.

You know i am getting confused, we are talking about tshirts with fuldog on them or el gringo? There is, or was, an el gringo that posted on this board quite frequently. I think the thread title is confusing me.

Pictures of Fuldog, as created by El Gringo.

He got tired of his old sig, and changed it.

makes me chuckle!

just for the record, i've had an oomomla crest on a top for over a year.

i support the diy idea, much better to come up with our own variously mangled versions. i think it would be good to make them for each other, though.

I believe my cafepress order went through.
But I didn't open a store. I just placed an order, nothing more.

I guess we will know for sure when I actually receive something or not.

[edit] affirmative. I just checked my email and they did send a shipping notification. Now I just have to wait for a couple of weeks till my goodies get to me. Big Grin

All this talk of t-shirts 'n stuff made me wonder if I could get the black pirate shirt made with Cafepress (last year Newromancer and I tried to do that, but it didn't work, kind of a hassle with transparent images).
But, guess what? This time it did work! For black (and dark colored shirts) you have to open a shop, so I did, and it seems you can finally order the Friday Piratest-shirt.

While I was at it, I was kinda inspired to design a fuldog shirt, as well (had to open another shop for that one) so here
it is.

Hope you'll like.

Oh, and I'll try to dig up some larger images of OoMOM and the original fuldog drawing.

Gringo, I don't suppose you could find a European based supplier. Last time I ordered something from CafePress I had to pay quite a bit of customs on it.

Hmm. How much was it?

I did look around (a bit), but I couldn't find one. For some reason it's incredibly difficult (or expensive) to get white prints on dark shirts made online. Cafepress was the only one that accepted my design.
