    I'm surprised Pauline and Marshdrifter actually got to eat anything, as sometimes the couple end up spending half the dinner walking around the room saying hello to people. Goodness knows we did. Stuffed some teacakes in our mouths and did the table circuit.

    We minimized the number of people we needed to greet.

    Most of them were family, anyway, and they're used to being ignored when there's food in front of me. Smile
