A few of us (both guys and gals) really love stockings...so why not have a thread for our (cough) interest.

Found these Cosmic Flower Stayups today online:

at Strumpor för Qvinnor (Stockings for Women)

There's a whole Akira collection from Love Me Paris.

[looks around nervously]

Why heavens, no...whatever would make you say something like that. You and your silly Westcoast sensibilities.

i like various fishnets. the inherent sluttiness.

this diamond net rules:

they come in luminous colours as well:

what could be better wrapped around your head in the dark but those babies?

or how aboot layering them with another stocking:

Yup!

I was trying to find an image of the Oroblu stockings that I bought yesterday, and all I could find was a Clive Cussler novel. Smile

At least it had orange in common!

trap. HA!!! it's not like i've been perusing stockings like ALL day long.

ok maybe i have

stripes are always good, especially when it's subtle. take these innocent-by-day-sexmachine-by-night over-the-knees:

these also go to show how easily it is to land a n eligable charmakarmacat with the right stocking/shoe combo. course, it also helps if you pose just a little.

even the most desireable, hard-to-get charmakarmacats will come runnin' with these fuzzy wildcat toe-socks. r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-eow.

if you ladies want a more durable stocking, i suggets going with the cuban heel. these babies have a more durable knit around the ankle and toe. plus check oot the sexy seam running up the back of the leg. drool-worthy to be sure.

I've got some Wolford stockings (actually they are footless pantyhose) with Jean Paul Gaultier's interpretation of the cuban heel. The base of the Eiffel tower at the heel and the tower running up the leg to just under the knee and a seam the rest of the way up!

No stopping at Restaurant Jules Vernes

I can trace the beginning of my... we'll use the mild term... interest to a day spent observing/critiquing a play in final rehearsal. In the seats right in front of me was a very well-formed young woman who sat sideways with her stocking-clad legs draped over the seat right in front of me. She sat there for hours in her short little skirt, caressing her legs in front of me and making small talk about how great stockings felt.

I was such a complete moron at the time that it never occurred to me until years later that she was totally flirting with me. NGGGGGGAAAARRRGH! So many lost opportunities during my idiot years.

I'm surprised (almost continually) by the amount of awareness women seem to credit us with....

In her defense, I think anyone even remotely alert would have been able to pick up on the flirt. I was awfully stupid about the fairer sex back then. In retrospect, it makes sense that so many people thought I was gay back then.

But you're right. I used to have these long conversations with an old female friend about her 'man troubles.' They went something like this:

"How could he possibly not know I'm in love with him and want to marry him and spend the rest of my life with him?!"

"Did you tell him?"

"OF COURSE NOT! But I did kind of sort of look at him and smile once! You can't tell me he doesn't know!"

"You're an idiot."

She stopped calling for advice, for some reason...

But to get back on topic... I'm not so much a fan of the fishnets, unless they're worn over another pair of stockings. For me, it's mostly about the tactile sensation, or the anticipation of aforesaid sensation, and fishnets just aren't great in that department. Even fairly heavy tights are more attractive to me than fishnets. 'Nets reek of 'trying too hard.'

I think my statement encompasses the spectrum demonstrated by both your fine examples.
