I haven't got my act together to make the graph, but a flat brim on a cap is an automatic +20 douche points, and then there is a curve...

Nah, let me do it:

Insert your own UQ joke here.

(UQ is pretty much douchebag central...as the rest of Brisbane knows...)

Nah, for UQ - Law, Poli Sci, Mass Comm, and any of the Sport Degrees, although they're all pretty bad.

For examples, head down to the RE or the Regatta on a Friday or Saturday night.

Andy's smoking, which cracks me up, but that look on Don Knotts' puss is gold.

Guy in the middle died today.

From Nashville,

quote:
Another man dressed in a shirt and hat with pictures of Sarah Palin on them. Another walked around with giant tea bags draped from his shoulders that read, "The revolution is brewing." One vendor sold tea bag jewelry -- necklaces and lapel pins. He even trademarked it, he said. He claimed that he is the only person in the country that is allowed to sell jewelry depicting a tea bag.

And then there's this babe-magnet...

quote:
There was another who dressed in a leather veteran’s vest with medals festooned on it. He also wore a Vietnam Veteran hat.

“I just dressed this way to get attention,” the man said, halfway through a scotch at an “Irish pub” 200 feet from the ballroom where Palin will be speaking, down a casino-style carpeted hotel hallway. “I’m really a retired millionaire.”

He admitted to just wanting to get on TV or at least get his message out. And there were cameras from all over interviewing him all day. It was certainly believable that he wasn’t wanting for money. He threw a $20 bill down for his scotch, but when the bartender told him it was $22, he put down another $20 and said, “Makes no difference to me.”

Taking out the $20, it was impossible not to notice the roll of $100s. He talked in detail of the Mercedes he drove here; the Rolls Royce he bought in Florida that he won’t drive on rainy days like today, and that he’s a major donor to the National Republican Senatorial Committee. “Just sold my last business for $3.3 million,” he said, laughing, seemingly taking great delight in his get up and the gag he was pulling.

I wonder if anyone else thinks about this. The Planet Earth is tiny dinky wee little bitty in comparison to just our galaxy, nevermind the universe. I could fill the rest of this post up with zeros to the right of the decimal point in describing the Earth's mass as a percentage of the mass of the universe.

Here's what blows me away. The Earth is 4.5 billion years old. The Universe is about 13.5 billion years old. Our planet has been around for a sizable chunk of the history of everyfuckingthing. Everything happens all at once, kinda.

I dunno. Just seems odd.

Whenever I am asked "What's happening?", I respond; "Everything, all at once."

Most people just look at me like I sneezed.

I think that's the best answer to that question I've ever heard. Sneezed or not.

In college, I used to like to ask random people "Do you by any chance know what the basis of reality is?" The best answer I ever got was from a guy that I ran into at my favorite coffee house who said, "I'm not from around here..."

If the Saints win (looks like they will now) the thing you won't see is people turning over cars and burning things. NOLA is unified... and they know how to maintain decorum while partying.

You're gonna see some titties though!

Not sure who will get into this concept. Twi will.

First, there's this YouTube clip that has probably been grabbed from the original flash, converted to mpg, then posted back on Youtube, where it is again converted to flv. Skip to about 1:30.

Robert Rodriguez on with Ferguson

They're talking about Sin City, but ignore that. Listen in the background. The process of multiple compressions and conversions has brought out some people in another dimension who can see the show and are discussing it. Some of them are becoming quite animated. It's not the audience sound, that's obvious. When the files were compressed and converted multiple times, what we might guess is degredation, is actually this shifting into other dimensions.

There's probably a short story there.
