Stating the Obvious? In my day-to-day life, I have to spend a lot of time explaining things that are perfectly obvious to most people. I guess it rubbed off here. I'm starting to lose touch on what is obvious and what is not.

Actually, I was amused that you saw that when I hadn't seen it myself. The books were chosen for a theme, and I hadn't connected Fyodor and fedora. And hey, this was a wildly successful photo thread, eh?

Apparently the people with hats don't have cameras, and the people with cameras don't have hats.

I'm waiting for a still life with hat, gun, boots, books and penis.

Actually, I tried it about 15 times, and every picture comes out completely blurry. Apparently, it's a stealth hat and it exudes some type of cloaking effect. Perhaps I should rob a bank while wearing it. The surveillance cameras won't have a chance.
Which allows one to bring in an other off-topic thread, why (manual focus) film cameras can be better that digital.... (here)

Having come late, I will add three in a row. It will show I am no photographer. A real fez, but too small for my head. From Morocco. A real Texas hat, bought in Brazil. This one fits like a glove. A paper Panama. Fresh, surprisingly tough. The only bitch is keeping it clean. Now going downslope to its eternal reward. José
