I don't normally post on the board (I usually just read the blog), but I thought this might be of interest (if it hasn't been posted already):

they look pretty nice for a first effort. the fact that he cant take them off without the help of a tiny screwdriver (and a mirror, presumably) seems like a pretty major design flaw.

(insert picture from frank miller's ronin, where the boss wears some kind of hovering glasses without the help of any frames or piercings. sadly, i still haven't got a digital camera)

on the other hand, if you're already into modifying the body (piercings), you might as well go the whole hog: laser eye surgery, baby! best USD 3500 i ever spent.

I take my glasses off about 10 tmes a day to wash them, rest my eyes, etc . . . It would make me nuts if I had to unscrew them every time, and I forsee some odd interactions with people at work when I am sitting in my office tinking with my face with a phillips head screwdriver.

The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear. But the human voice is different from other sounds. It can be heard over noises that bury everything else. Even when it's not shouting. Even when it's just a whisper. Even the lowest whisper can be heard - -over armies... when it's telling the truth.
