This is easy: Who was the first actor to play Marty Mcfly in Back to the Future?

I'm thinking Michael J Fox for the Back to the Future question... though if this were QI no doubt there'd be some other, trickier answer.

And I'd say our northern neighbours, Indonesia, would be the most populous Muslim country.

UberDog: "the first Marty" = Eric Stoltz! Ranks nearly as high as the Star Wars 1977 deleted scenes in terms of sheer Morgan Dollar scarcity.

Bravus is correct that Indonesia has the highest population of Muslims.

Anabel and Bravus took a good stab at what drug was developed by the Germans during WWII but I think this question was too obscure so I'm going to give the answer.
Bravus was on the right track but the medicine is now called Methadone.
Here is some good background info:
quote:
Methadone was discovered by Ralf Gerlach of Hoechst Pharmaceuticals in 1939 partly because of the Allied blockade of opium. The original name Dolophin (Original US name was Dolophine) though, has nothing to do with Hitler's first name Adolph, but was derived from the Greek words
for pain, dolor, and end, finis. The use of the term Adolphine originated in New York in the 1970's to discredit Nyswander and Dole, as well as methadone itself, during the intial addicition related methadone trials in the US.

The first success Hoechst Pharmaceuticals had with non-phenanthrene opiate pain killers was in 1937, prior to the blockade, when they first synthesized meperidine with a brand name of Dolantin (Demerol in the US). So the Allied Blockade was not the sole reason for methadone development. But pethidine was not given out in adequate supplies, and methadone became the only drug available to Axis physicians to replace opium derived pain killers.

UberDog was correct that there have been 14 Dalai Lamas.

He was correct with his assertion that Hitler took amphetamines. However his personal physician never told him what exactly it was and called his injections, "Vita-maltin". Which apparently really contained vitamins along with amphetamines which seemed to strongly contribute to his Parkinson's like tremor symptoms.

Who was the last person in the US to have ALL their books/materials officially order by the Government, in the form of a Federal Judge, to be "burned" AKA "seized and destroyed"?

I think this was perhaps too difficult because more information is needed for most people to answer it.

So here is an additional clue.
He was a very famous 20th century doctor who's theories were "debunked" as fake by the FDA.

Here is a difficult question followed by a damn near impossible follow-up.

How many member nations make up the United Nations?

Name one of the two recognized independent countries that are not members of the U.N.?
