Sustained my first wii sports injury last night.
Doubles tennis and my lad missed at the net - following through his failed slam, I swiped an under arm stroke from the byline and nearly broke my finger on his wii remote! Fecking kills, split in 2 places.

Quick google reveals wii injuries are rife Smile with dedicated sights. The things we do, eh?

I've been playing Warzone 2100 Resurrection. This is a new and free release of the old Warzone 2100, with improved graphics based on the released source code.

It was one of the (if not the) first strategy game to use a 3D engine, and it did it suprisingly well. The game has some other features which are unique for an RTS game.
It has a giant tech tree with researchable technologies. You do not just get a bunch of units to build, you actually have to design them yourself based on the tech you've researched. The game gives you tree elements to combine: a chassis, a body, and a mountable object (weapon or support tool). So once you get a bit into the game there are a lot of options to choose from, and a lot of varieties can be made.
The first map with the headquarters you've built actually always remains your main headquarters through the game. As you progress in the game it just reveals new areas on the map for you to explore and fight on, so you actually feel your territory getting bigger and bigger (which also means it becomes harder to defend).
The strategy of the game relies a lot on artillery in combination with radar technology, which it also does very well.

All in all, this is an unique and challenging RTS. I recommend it only for real fans of the genre though. It is not an easy game, plus the graphics are basic and the music and videos from the original game are not included. This makes it not so suited for the casual RTS gamer.

Star Wars Battlefront - the original Xbox campaign shoot em up. This is much better that BattleFront II imo. Lots of options and cracking two player/team gaming. You can really see where the later COD's etc came from.

Realized the lads new Wii will play the old Game Cube games so we're off to purchase a controller and some retro levels and RPG's today Smile old is the new new.

Also, stumbles across a team of 10 COD4 players yesterday, whislt visiting a department at work. Been invited to their weekly team x360 campaign nights. Ooh, now how can I get that box outa my lads room and on the main TV next Wednesday? Gotta be good.

Been whipping through Freelancer in God Mode the past few days. You don't actually lose that much, except frustration.

Played the demo and damn I want to buy it. But I've bought four new games in the last few weeks! I'm in gaming overload!

Been playing Fable 2 some and it's good, but it's not captivating me. Part of the reason is the eye strain I get from reading the stuff on my SD television. I want HD but since i just bought a new laptop it's probably not a great idea. Just wish there was an SD option in the game so I could alway read the stuff. It's becoming more and more of a problem.

Currently stuck on the 'Mission to Mars' level and stubbornly not looking at others' solutions.

Let me know how you solve the "tall rectangle with the short hole" level. (You'll know it when you see it.) We can exchange hideous machine films.

Yeah, Big Ball has me stymied at the moment too. Can't get there before the ball drops, can't burrow under it. Maybe getting something the right mass and shape on top of it?

Playing Fallout 3. Those of you who like stories (note that I'm posting this on an award winning author's forums ROFL) will hate this game, the main quest is terrible. I'd post why I hate it but that would spoil the pain. Its also the worst game for Bugs I've ever played-- and I'm a professional QA tester *sigh* this game should have never shipped in its current state.

Gameplay is surprisingly good... when its not crashing/freezing.. ect ect.

Are you fucking shitting me, MCP? Really?

This is the worst game for bugs you ever played?

You've never played S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? A game where its patches were released with Swiss precision every five minutes, starting from three minutes after launch?

Where each patch introduced more problems than it solved? A game where you couldn't use spaces in the titles of saves after version 1.6?

Christ almighty. You need to not get out more.

I did notice that loading the game with Fallout 3 was a little odd. Does have the dubious honour of being a game where it can actually crash before you even get to the title screen.

But I found that loaded was more reliable if you didn't select "Continue" at the main menu, and went to "Load Game" instead. Sometimes games would take mere seconds to load, sometimes minutes, sometime they wouldn't load at all and would inspire a swift three-finger salute. Didn't matter what I was doing before I launched the game. It was just random luck.

The only other times it crash were after exiting the game (when it didn't bother me) and sometimes after exiting doors ingame, which isn't much of a problem if you've got autosave turned on.

I learned how to play poker.

With enough practice, I should be able to make some money, by playing online against stupid people.

That's an unexpected outcome : I had been avoiding the recent poker-mania for more than a year.

Played a little more of Gears of War 2 campaign, this time co-op. It's got some really cool moments. I can't deny the quality of this game, but I just don't know how much I really care for the stop and pop play. Just a personal preference. I need to try the multiplayer, but haven't bothered.

I also installed WoW on my new laptop and I can actually run it with the graphics turned up some and in widescreen mode. A nice change. Still not that involved in it tho. Gonna try to avoid buying the Lich King, but the pull is strong.
