I, for one, do not use pistols. I prefer to use my bare fists or a golfclub.

Nice catch, SRu!
(unless there's a left-handed pistol manufacturer somewhere.)

[irrelevant philology] I'm pretty sure (while noting my knowledge of Latin is not so much the tip of an iceberg as how much you'd shave off an iceberg to make a snowcone) that "agri" means field in the sense of either a wild field, or a field of aricultural produce, whereas "campus" means field in the sense of field of play, or of assembly, or area of ground, or, occasionally, a flattened area. Hence my preferring it to the alternative. There is also "ager", which means the same as "agri". Not that El Gringo should bother himself with changing the motto back. "Agri" has more amusing resonances. [/irrelevant philology]

Ah, the golf club. Not as clumsy or as random as a blaster; an elegant weapon from a more civilized age.

Randall Arms also made a mirror-image, left-ported 1911 copy. I've seen one- all stainless.

Dlask makes very, very good stuff. Joe Dlask made his name as an IPSC pistolsmith, which is the pistolsmithing equivalent of building Formula 1 race engines. I have a bespoke, custom-length Dlask trigger in my .45 National Match, and it's an excellent piece of work. Yes, I fitted it myself.

Uh-oh. That sounds like a child bouncing a rubber ball in the street. Now, where is that Tazer?

Actually that sounds just like grown-up toys, which is after all what this is really about. Our toys that we do not want to share, unless the others play by our rules.

I think that is what the order is really about. Our game, our rules, our enjoyment.

I don't think either of us can play well with others. I know I don't.

Now that is a good motto for both orders.

That is not a motto, that is an explanation!

Never explain, things will go better. There are those who understand and those who don't. Focus on those who understand.

You might see it as an explanation, for me it's a declaration.

That was my bumper sticker for years. It was a birthday present. Big Grin

T-shirt? Don't you mean embroidered discreetly on the pocket of your smoking jacket?

(BTW, it's an absolutely superb crest.)

Anti-elistism is so elitist.
