Man, for all my knocking of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, this year I actually wish I was there.

My Mum saw Phil Emmanuel play.

And, damnit, she saw a Paul Kelly gig for $25!!!

The Lithos School of Curiousity is now enrolling

Tonight it will be Jah Wobbles deep bass frequencies making my bag of bones do the moonwalk across the Troubador floor. Wonder if Jean-Pierre Rasle ever made it across the Canadian border? Can't have Frenchman playing the ancient pipes in America in these days after 911.

Crimson in '95. The double trio line up, then later that year Gary Lucas, Elliot Sharp and

In '96 it was Bowie. And AC/Dc.
Then Satriani. Twice."

Their bass player has a child in the school where my gf teaches. His daughter has a project she calls "Strawberry Finger", which I think is pretty cool for a 6 year old. I can't remember the name of his sons project, but he's got one too.

Jah wobbles bass playing last night with his English Roots at the Troubador was like a train which could reach infinite speed and no matter how fast it went it only increased in mass and even though the wheels were on fire you could be certain the train would not come off the tracks. His angel of light singers were a constant like the wisps of smoke riding above the train.

Went to see the Hold Steady in Chapel Hill yesterday and it was excellent. High quality show, those guys kick ass. The lead singer has this cool manic way of singing and acting.

Anyway the opening acts were The Plastic Constellations and Swearing at Motorists. I wasn't really bug on either, although both had moments. Anyway if those guys come around your area, definitely check out The Hold Steady.

I already saw Robert Plant twice this year.

You know... it's always the same.

(I am so tired. Somebody, finish me off.)
