The Ottomans got it this year?

Not to rain on any parades, but... I'm curious to see whether Russia will get away with invading Georgia, fighting (yes, I know, it's been smoldering for years) the first legitimate interstate war in Europe since WW2, all because of the Olympics and the world's intense desire not to notice.

Feels like it. It's on a half-dozen channels at once, and not one of them is showing the same point in time.

CNN --

Katerina Emmons of the Czech Republic spoils China's bid for the first gold medal in Beijing by winning the 10-meter air rifle.

That one big god dammed air rifle. Wish I could win something like that. Even if I had to rent a trailer to haul it home.

NBC's schedule is all messed up. Says fencing but it's just girls fighting with swords.

Looking for the roofing, trenching and spackling competitions. They probably screwed those up too.

We're just now getting it. I was wondering about the heavy uniforms (air rifle). Announcer said they're stiff leather for support. Form a sort of exoskeletion. Prevent them from sensing their own heartbeats.

Not kidding. That's what they said.

I saw him. He got a good deal. Must be really good at air rifle or something. Big ol dong gourd, maybe.

I, like 98% of worldwide males, knowing nothing about most Olympic sports, judge upon cuteness, tits, ass. For instance, the Ukranian gal should have won fencing. Goofy, ill-fitted outfit yet you could still tell she had a great butt.

She wuz robbed.

I've filed a protest.

And she was supposedly "beaten" by a girl from the USA, who's butt was not nearly as nice.

Just to show I'm not in the least nationalistic when it comes to worldwide sports. Everybody gets an even shot with me.

I'm very fair. Very objective.

As long as you remain objective.

Gotta be fair.

In reality, I'm not ready for the 'noise' on multiple levels. I'd be one of those shouting at the tv. I don't want to go there. I'd rather read about it than be force-fed, imho.
Sorry, I think I just committed a thread-jack.
