they had it in blue, green, and white. but the orange really caught my eye.

funnily enough, i have a box of the ginger candy sitting, never had it before - friend got me it along with refreshing my collection of gunpowder and jasmine from his local thai super market.

uhm, don't say "smashing" within earshot of a porcelain teapot: might make it jittery--

but that golden colour of the pot with the matching paler gold tea is adorable...

I am bowled over :-)
Mirrorgirl has taste as well as persuasive powers; getting a careful Scot to buy something expensive... well!

I felt sorta bad after the smoking crater left in the wallet -- but it's gorgeous. You will totally pick up foxy cultured chicks with it. "Hey baby, wanna see my teapot? Heh heh."

(I would have gone for the red, actually, but they only had a red cup. I obviously have no taste except for the tea itself!)

(Oh, and my Guricha is fantastic.)

well red would have been my second choice.
and to be honest, given times i've blown money on a pile of books and then not read them for a year, i've drank three pots of tea from this today alone Smile

The tea pot and cups are stunning.. utterly gorgeous in orange.

My Moonlight White tea is also lovely.. and the muji mesh thingy fits in my wagamama tea cup perfectly and is great - thanks for the tip mirrorgirl Smile The tea obsession seems to be contagious!

I'm hoping the pair of these that I packed into my shipment to myself from the states arrive intact:

I'm not holding my breath, though. WWII era antiques from Japan, $15 for the pair. Sadly no pot to match -- I have a standard issue muji one.

It's just the lighting I think. Just gotta bring down the specularity, quick spout-lift, Photoshop her butt a little.
