Actually, it is a giant snow globe. I was unable to take a good picture while they were blowing the fake snow inside the globe but you can see it below the statue.

I like the second one; "death on a stick, mate". Two of my mates hit this bay at low tide, both very experienced surfers. The police came and called them out. They were warned against causing an emergency services call-out scenario.

i'm a bit bemused, though its a jumpy site and they just seem to have asked to use every creative commons available pic on flickr they can get.

I have a load that they're using as well.. they do a fancy little widget you can put on your blog.. I presumed it would show which of my photos they were using, but it doesn't seem it does!

yeah seems to scroll through them all in head dizzying fashion. its not even the best picture i have of the location either!
