that tile shot is nice split.

btw, was feeling like remembering what snow feels like since the hot and muggy is here in full force.

Came across this gem form the Hofbräuhaus in Munich.

Yep goatboaters are a problem. I've been run over a few times, cause you can't let them get away with the early take-offs; just have to go with them then kickout with a few stern words. That place is a zoo with 5 or more people taking off on 90% of the waves that come through. He most likely would have been threatened a dozen times or more during that session. I've seen people punched in the face out back for dropping in... but still they come. Its very competitive and aggressive there. I prefer this type of set up - only a few take-off infront of the rocks. Small swell, long waits, nothing to do but chill in her arms.

I personally prefer smaller and mellow than sizeable and aggro. The studmuffins can have at it.

Only a few days until my little surf trip!

Sweet. Where you going?
Lots of swell about, right through til the weekend. Just need to wait for this onshore SW'erly to blow out. MagicSeaWeed was giving a 4 star rating for today, but its all blown to poop at the mo. I was at the beach an hour ago, waited it out for 30 mins before trundling into work.
May try at lunchtime, just as turns, if the wind drops off a little. Ugly, sloppy mushburgers, when they come.

Yeah that's looking like slop, sadly. I think the wind will drop soon (I hope). I used to live on a beach that resembled that one greatly and it got blown out every afternoon like clockwork.

We're going to Fistral with all the other kooks. I'll make a rather large ass of myself since I haven't surfed in five years, but so it goes. I'll be happy to ride slop, even.

The first two are excellent, ed. I really like that minimalist sort of style, even though (or maybe because) i am no good at doing it myself.

Hope you have a great time. Todays session wasn't much better. We've had windows in the wind most evenings but the tides all wrong. Had 90 mins in torrid conditions earlier but its all good; well, better than the office any time.

Last time I surfed Fistral it was 2-3ft perly sweet in front of the car park at high water. In and out by 07:30 just as the numbers started to show; even managed to truck through town on the way out without any hassle too. If its blowing a SW hoolie, try Porth rivermouth which is sheltered towards mid tide between the cliffs. Cracking little cafe on the LHS as well.
