I feel the cosmic irony of this keenly, seeing as how I am sort of a cosmology-in-training type.

Growing up here was rather difficult at times.

Ah yes, it's all so ridiculous! The making people out of dirt and ribs, and the talking snakes, that all makes much more sense.

(Sorry. I don't know what came over me.)

Never mind. Look at some normal everyday people who don't let these things get out of proportion instead.

I hate them. I shouldn't. It's not good that I hate them but oh I hate them.

Forgot to mention that 'base purple' made me snigger

Yeah, I think the hate is understandable, Trog, given what they do to your country. I can afford to just be wryly amused by them.

I was wondering if anyone would get that.

Yeah, we have preachers who can prove that Samuel 10:6 means that we must eliminate the capital gains tax.

See I found this child-sized chair in an old building out amongst my sites. Now these are posed, in that I'm now hauling this chair around with me. Not great, but one or two are maybe not bad.

String 'em all together and soundtrack 'em with Nick Cave's 'The Mercy Seat', or something more mellow and melancholy, and toss 'em on YouTube. Lots of beauty all together with a dash of surrealism. Very short flashes of each though - the goal is not for an 'inspirational' effect but an overwhelming and slightly creepy one.

Thought about something like that. Wish there was some way I could show the size of the chair. It's really tiny.

Maybe I can rent a kid to sit in it. Real small kid. Impoverished kid. Orphan maybe.

Kid like that oughta be pretty cheap to rent.

Or if I find a kid out there wandering around, I got a chair for him or her. A place to sit. Here's a chair, kid.

And then as I drive off, don't thank me. Not my chair. I found it.

Nah, you need to show how small the chair is. Stick a roughneck on it. Just for one frame.

Cops'll start asking questions. You may even end up on one of those tabloid-style current affairs shows, with the footage of you being in grainy, digitally-zoomed slow motion footage of you picking up your mail or heading to your car in the driveway.
