Lovely eerie shot Chris. Murky as hell here this morning as well, until that NNE brought the chilled air and sunshine. Reminds me of that very English War of the Worlds... I'm waiting for the ship

Dude, can I ask what ISO, aperture etc you used? I'm a keen fan

Tenth of a second at F22 on a 10mm lens.

But there was some photoshopping involved afterwards; a technique called Ortonising, that goes like this:

* copy the picture
* paste into a new layer over the original.
* make the layer black and white
* increase the brightness a bit and whack the contrast up
* gaussian blur the result
* set the top layer to "soft light" and about 60% transparency
* flatten the resulting image
* save as a *new file*

There you go!

On this one I then messed with the curves a bit and desaturated the image to make it nearly black and white.

Still murky here, off and on. And very cold.

best,
Chris H

I worked for Japan Brand Agricutural Corporation a few weeks ago. Here are the pictures in a random fashion.

"I'll easily get rid of my apples. Here, I'll give you one of them."

"No," said Snow White, "I cannot accept anything from strangers."

"Are you afraid of poison?" asked the old woman. "Look, I'll cut the apple in two. You eat half and I shall eat half."

Ninjas are masters of disguise and blend in well with their surrounding.

Either you know 'Drunken Monkey' to defend yourself or you can only make a quick escape across the roof top.
