Yes, though I'm not sure which kind of Eucalyptus it is. Of course none of the Eucalyptus are native to California. A biologist I know jokes about introducing Koala into the Ballona Ecosystem. We have a Eucalyptus grove you can see in the background to the right which is part of a flyway and roost for Monarch Butterflies. I occasionally visit a Great Horned Owl that lives in there. The whole area has over 7.8 billion cubic feet of methane gas below it. The Eucalyptus grove was put there many years ago by the gas company to hide their fascilities that store methane gas a mile under the ground in the geology.
