I was driving around Vancouver when I noticed the hotdogmobile was running low on gas.



I drove to a deserted gas station.



I was looking for the cashier, when I saw this guy.



He talked in a deep booming voice.
It sounded important.
It was in Japanese.
I did not understand a single word of it.

When I looked around me, things were... different.

"We're not in Richmond anymore", I thought.

Slightly confused, I walked around for a while.

I ended up near a rather fancy building.



I took a break, to think about my current situation.



I remembered Mrs GL's death, at the hands of a porcine slayer.



I was inconsolable.

I did not know in what world I had landed, but I hoped things would be better here.



A gigantic divine pig appeared, and told me it would help me in my quest.
He spoke in English, with a strong Serbian accent.



I was about to ask what the quest was, when the pig shifted out of existence.

Instead, a cow stood there and mooed :
"Dude, they're waiting for you.
The contest cannot start without you."



What contest?

"Grandmaster Taiko's Tremendous Food Contest", a bunch of idols replied, with audible capitalization.



"Hurry, it's over there."
Then, they turned back to faceless stones.

Grandmaster Taiko's Tremendous Food Contest was taking place in a large restaurant, at the top of a long flight of stairs.





Inside, it was full of food.



My oponent was Mrs Kasuta.



The goal was to finish more dishes than her.
I thought it would be easy.

I started eating.





Very soon, it appeared that Mrs Kasuta was much faster than me.



I was going to lose.
I needed a miracle.

In the nick of time, Mrs GL miraculously appeared.



The referee, a friendly frog, conveniently told me that Mrs GL could replace me in the contest.



We stood a chance!





She was catching up!





Almost there!







Victory!
