I was just gonna ask whether Access, being in the suite and all, has something like Word's 'track changes' feature...

Yeah. I was thinking have the database, pointing to an copy that had all instances, effectively doubling size and then the history. Red Face
Obviously, it makes more sense to point every cell to a stack of history and show teh top of the stack as the cell content. Or something. Or default with content, and pointer when there's history. Or content and, if history, a pointer also. or.. maybe you could give a button like a pop-up menu, to show history, or link to a full show.. or *shuts up*

Of course, you'd want to make sure you can interact with it suitably-for-whatever.

It would just be yer standard action-query SQL wouldn't it?

I learn as much Db stuff as I need at any particular time and then use my amazing ability to completely forget it -- thereby protecting my beautiful, empty mind.

I downloaded a movie from a bit torrent site and when I tried to watch it, it was upsidedown. Left and right were properly aligned, but the image is flipped 180 degrees on a horizontal axis. Is there a simple fix for this, or should I just delete it and try to download from a different source?

Technical fix: get a set of inversion boots and watch it hanging upside down.

No wait, this advice not applicable to zombies.

There is likely to be some sort of freeware video editing thingy out there that will fix it, but there will also be a lot of spam and potential trojans and pesterware and other annoyances... unless someone has a simple way, re-dling might be simplest.

Not that I could find. I looked for one today
after Trogdor's suggestion.

It's .avi. I don't have much in the way of video software or knowledge to use it, hence the question.

Try this: (This assumes you're using Windows Media Player, though the advice came from a FAQ about encoding).

In the Processing tab of the Properties panel, select the Flip vertically check box.

From here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/faq.aspx

Other than that, I have no idea.

google for VirtualDub, this is a Windows video program for transcoding avi files. it also has tools and settings which can be used for adjusting the size of the picture. it should have a rotation filter you can apply to your file.....

If you're running Windoz XP then just download Movie Maker 2 from Microsoft. It's free. You might already have it.

Then, Tools, Effects, Flip Vertical.

MM2 isn't very powerful, but it's safe and very solid. It will flip your video right-side up.

I had this problem once. Forget how I solved it. Big Grin In the menus or codec download. Don't know.

If downloading's easy, then try
VideoLan - VLC Media Player

Several good ideas there, guys. Thanks to all of you.
Bravus, you first idea is as you suspect , more applicable to my batty friends like the Count.

By the way, watching Blade Runner up-side-down does not enhance your viewing pleasure.

Just reporting back on something mentioned here early: 3 months on, I finally have admin access to my Mac. Hallelujah.

Sounds like good news. One hopes it will eliminate some of the pointless fiddle-diddle you've had to goo through before.

Today I made a copy of my friends iTunes Folder to built up my music library from scratch. He had a 123 G folder. Lots of redundancy as he is not as obsessed about managing it as I am. When I'm through with it it will be probably be something like 60 G, I guess. The crashed drive is newly formatted (this time as a Mac drive) and I will spend the next days with Music archiving.

Then I will clone the thing.
