This thread is for the lazy scrub, like me, that often finds that eating out/getting store bought food/making food from other prepackaged food, etc. can be as much or more of a thrill than cooking your own food.

Yesterday was "that day" that I hibernate and avoid most worldly contact, except for doing one thing, yes you guessed right, I eat out. Now fortunately there are several cultures that like myself don't give two shites about x-mas, two of those being the Pakistani's and Indian's.

So yesterday I only left my cave and stopped reading (PKD - Clans of the alphane moon) twice so that I could gorge myself on two wonderful buffets.

Berkeley was a ghost town during the birth of baby Jesus yesterday. No students, people were sharing time with family and friends and most of the other wankers seemed to listing on craigslist for blowjobs.

However at least two of my favorite Indian resturants were open. For example at Viceroy's lunch buffet, I feasted on sheek kebabs, tandoori (white meat) chicken, mint chutney, samosas, onion naan, aloo palak, and saag paneer.

So where do you eat out/buy food/make food. What do you like to eat? What are you eating right NOW?

Last Eat Out:
Since lawrence is kind of a heo-hippie-artist comunity in the midwest, I can never find, for the life of me, a good chicken fried steak here. So when I went home to wichita for Xmas, I had to stop in for breakfast at The Beacon. Tucked in the middle of Downtown, right next to the newspaper from which it got it's name. On a regular workday lunch, you can find a lot of the newspaper guys there, quite a few lawyers, even seen the mayor in there several times. Then you get my friends and I stumbling in about 2:00, hung over, and wolfing down Chick-fry and eggs. Sooooo not good for you, but sooooo soooooooo good.

(As an aside, you have not lived until you have walked into a smaller town cafe on a sunday at noon, with some girl on your arm still in her super sexy club clothes and some JBF hair, and seeing the dual looks from an old man and his wife coming in from church. Both their eyes are popping out of their heads, but for entirely different reasons.)

Nothing. I've picked up a festive gastric flu.

Am on a water-and-water diet for a while.

Gromit may your fluids flow fast and furious picking the flu from you like a hungry herbivorous wombat.

Or, in Oz, where the verb 'to root' is a happy medium in vulgarity halfway between 'to fuck' and 'to copulate (with)', we say the wombat is like the man: it eats roots and leaves. Hur hur hur.
