I made dinner for our vegetarian friends last night...a multi-course vegetarian affair. It turned out all very well and good: baba ganouj, roasted poblano peppers stuffed with black beans, french lentil salad, five dahl soup, portobello burgers. ...but this morning at work, my stomach demanded that I reschedule all meetings and work alone --or else.

Wahoooo! Coconut jasmine rice with a little salt and pepper and some peas thrown in there, with prawns sautéed in butter and Thai sweet chili sauce. Sometimes I surprise myself rather.

I made my own rice balls, (food network/alton brown recipie) and meatballs (from a frozen bag) now I need to think up a round vegetable, or decorations to make a snow man with 3 rice balls.

Every time I see this thread, I read it instead as "What's eating you?"

Yeah - it basically worked out to the equivalent of one dinner/week for us at the local Chinese restaurant - and the food there wasn't even that good. And this week our cleaner has the week off - so we don't even need to straighten the place tonight like we usually do.
