What sorts of cheese are we observing in the picture FP?
The spread looks quite tasty.

[BTW- I modified the intent of this thread here because of the turn it was taking.]

late dinner and girly chat at cafe e cucina (melbourne italian restuarant that likes to think of itself as being a bit of an institution - no, not that kind).

me: green bean, broad bean and carrot soup, roasted kipfler potatoes and finished with a hot chocolate and a nice drop of sticky wine* (the name of which temporarily escapes me)

her: bean, leek and asparagus pasta, half the potatoes, a latte and a drop of said sticky.

*it was literally a drop - the waiter gave us a little to try (nice waiter!)

On an anthropogical study note, whatz up with Korean resturants and their seemingly endless use for spam in any and all dishes (except kimchee)???

I think it tastes like a wet, old duct tape roll but really I'm just more interested in why someone, not recently liberated from a death camp, would eat such a thing.

You really should lay off the duct tape, chappie. It's bad for the teeth.

sorry Pauline, I was just re-reading this page and realized you said "ham-hate" not "spam-hate." My bad.

Cheesy Reply

Those are Gouda and Samsø cheeses hydra.
That breakfast spread is laid out for my parents who are visiting.

I hope that you will do something similar for your parents the next time they visit you. They might not be the parents you wanted, but they are the parents you have. Emotionally distant or not, they fed, clothed, and housed you. Make an effort for the short time they are with you. Be a host.

Take a freakin' guess.

I was mostly talking about myself, but for you and judging from your earlier post, I'd guess ham.

Grumpy much?
