I could never be a vegitarian, I love the tase of meat. I suppose it's genetic though, my mom was telling me about when she realized she could never be a vegetarian: she was in a market in Greece and was actually drooling over a raw piece of lamb. I'm the same way.

As for my 2 tofu vegi lasagnas for dinner, they tasted no different than the regular Amy's one with cheese. Delicious!

I added alittle extra virgin olive oil during the cooking and it seemed to help make a nice browned crust.

What a strange goddamn thing to get so angry over. If nothing else, tofu's good for your man junk, so why not let a brother eat what he wants? And I've never heard anyone declare that they're going to eat some "butter tarts" as an act of angry defiance.

Ate way too much at Xmas - Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham, Potatoes, Rice, some veggies, but mostly meat...and many many helpings of dessert (home made versions of those crazy holiday log thingys)

I cook for my wife at least 4 nights a week, I let her cook once week, and we eat out the other times. Usually try and hit a pub for grub; trying deperately to avoid fast food.

Any Canadians here drive the 401 from Toronto to Montreal? Ever try and eat something other than fast food? I find it nearly impossible.

Oh yeah, and yes, I'm new here.

S'kay about being anal... it's not in quotes due to the fact that it's something I say ( a little too often to way too many people it seems) rather than the actual quote.

Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah well... that'd be the smart and polite way to
play it. Myself, I usually reserve the right to
express my preference in foods, but won't dictate
what anybody else should eat.

My earlier "ew" was more about me not eating the
pork products than about you eating them.

And, just to out-anal Boog: the correct spelling is 'adaptability'. Hey, welcome, 16th Spider: we really do only do this to the ones we like!

nothing tastes better than a slice of red bloody meat. i wish i could say something clever and fabulous like, "i don't eat anything with a face", but it would be a blatant lie.

inspired by the thread, i'm making super rare ginger beef with green onion and jasmine rice.
