And why would a plastic wrap preclude your buying them?

as a general rule, i only buy shop packaged potatoes, i like to choose my fruit and vegies individually and feel the damn thing. it's largely an extension of the whole topped, tailed and skinned corn thing. i want to buy my corn in its natural packet.

that and they're obscene.

Tonight I dined on lobster tail and filet mignon, steamed veggies and rice pilaf. Half of each entre, as another gal and I shared our dinners.
Yumska! We don't normally serve lobster.

I went out and had sushi and noodles. MMMMM! It was all part of my plan to not get depressed about the whole Valentine's Day/being single situation. That's right I medicate with food.

Smoked turkey. This bird was walking around 2 days ago. Friends killed and dressed it and took it to the butcher for smoking, and now it's on my plate. Carnilicious.

Had frog legs for the first time on friday night. Deep fried Chinese style. I was iffy on them but the kids devoured them, little carnivours.

Was going to fix that typo but find I like it. Kind of a mix of carnivore and devour. Which suits the mix of my boys and meat to a T.

Cold penne o-gratten with a chicory salad.
The salad is always worth it, especially if drowned in lemon.

I found a restaurant in the neighborhood that gives me 30% off on my student card, so I'm off the sandwich diet and back to cooked food. That was a life saver.

Mmmm, pringles... I have a minor addiction to those, my favourite being the hot&spicey one. Originals are the best when dipped in american bbq sauce.

This lovely packaged hot-n-sour noodle soup, brand name Mei-Mei. The round plastic bowl comes with its own lid, you open it up and it's like Christmas; noodles in one sealed packet, spices in another, veggies/flaked fish in another, lemon oil in yet another! And a little plastic fork to eat them with!

My lips are stinging from the spicy, but it's good! (My innards will argue this point later in the evening.)
