Don't worry I don't make my guests drink the stuff...

Good night all, I'm off to bed with Jack Womack...(or rather his book Ambient)

Hm.

So it appears the internet can be used to transfer stomach virii as well...

In other news, I'm feeling much better.

Thanks for all the sympathy, people. And, mausbiber, who's advice I took, though not too accurately: I didn't buy Yakult, but did buy some Bornhoffen (with a Swedish name, I guess it has to be good) yoghurt with Acidofilus and Bifidus cultures.

Seems to be evening itself out, now.

My sympathies to you poor lads, Stomach issues yuk. Lithos keep going with the culture cures, I have a semi regular habit of the stuff now and it continues to be a good thing for me.

I re-joined the local health club yesterday, so its back in the pool tomorrow Smile

Just finalised my four weekly flexi forms and I'm 14hrs in credit with 6 allowances this month, so its going to be a surf rich week, as and when the conditions add up. Yeeehah.

Got some pics sent through by a newbie photographer who was perched on the rocks last Wednesday. The pics are a little blurred by fine for me. I always try to push that little bit harder when there's a surf photographer around. Wish he'd caught the bigger sets and the associated look of anguish in my eyes!

0730 last Wednesday. Tripping the light fantastic Smile

Went for a freezing run yesterday afternoon. It's 60˚F outside right now, so I am thinking I should do something while it is warmish today.

Also went to the office XMas party last night. Actually had a decent enough time too, although it was held in a country & western bar (called The Maverick, no less). The chef did a great job though and I didn't start to go into massive CW music overdose until about 8:30pm, so was able to depart politely with the main pack.

Then drove around for about an hour trying to find a place that had Motorola Surfboard modems in stock, as opposed to just advertising their existence. Finally scored, so intarweb connection is back up to full strength again. Huzzah!

+1 to what fashpo said, green-robot. With the benefit of hindsight there are two lovely girls I asked out, and took out, when I was a young feller. They both agreed to go and apparently had a good time, but my self-esteem was so pathetic I was convinced that it had been nothing but charity, and never followed up. I feel bad now because no doubt they thought it was them... So if he doesn't ring and you want to see him again, by all means take the initiative. If he considers that 'too forward', you don't want a relationship with him anyway.

Feeling trapped in the house.

Maybe I should go check out the snow from up close, see how many people have bothered to shovel their walks.

Just made my way upstairs two days(I think) after the surgery- Really haven't had time to check what is going on with everyone- If I don't keep the leg up it begins to hurt alot more than the drugs can take care of- So, I only have a few moments before going back down stairs-

I'm doing okay- Interesting procedure considering they made me mark the leg that had to be cut up- They said it was to be sure that, they operated on the leg that needed it- I gave them an odd look and then showed them the cast- The IV was very unpleasant, tho I got the nurse back by waking up from the drug induced coma and grabbing her hand, and asking who the hell she was-
She was very cautious after that, and made some comments about the death grip I had on her wrist-
I just told her that when you wake up in strange place in pain, there is 50 percent chance some thing bad has happened, to you-
Pain continued- Blood pressure kept climbing, they panicked, they couldn't figure out why my blood pressure wouldn't go down-
I had no end snide remarks about the amount of pain I was in having something to do with that-
They send me home, I never felt so sick-

Sanity made sure I got food in my stomach and a cigarette- And I have been resting since, my mom and my brother have been taking care of me- It is very odd having yur once irresponsible little bro, scolding you for trying to get a glass of water-

Needless to say I am okay-

Good to hear you have friends and family helping. Take it easy, Noir; recovery can be speedier when following medical advice, as annoying as it might be.

And keep that Death Grip for when you start doodling again : )

Ah, good news. No more long distance for Meru and Wanderer. Sounds like very good plans. Ignore the family, Meru. Follow your heart and head.

Went to the memorial dinner for my good friend, partner in crime, and bandmate through high school, Jake. He passed away two years ago December at 22, after four years of chemo and lasers. Anterior brain tumor, fast growing and uncommon outside of toddlers, nasty metastasis.

The family seemed bright today.

oh poor you!!! what a start to the Christmas season... but glad you are ok now, kind of :-(

a toast of hazelnut coffee from here to you and to Merderer oops! Wanderu :-)

A first for me today: handed in my home examination in Interpreting Ethics from bed while having a late breakfast... unfortunately a virtual copy is not enough, so a hard copy waits to be mailed and postmarked CLEARLY today (not sure WHY?)

Merderer....*LOL* Yes, I like Wanderu a lot more. We're, like, the new Brangelina, except without all those kids.

TM: Sorry to hear about your friend.

Noirjyre: Glad to hear you're doing okay, though, it doesn't really sound like it.....

And thank you so much everyone for your support. It totally makes me feel better despite the lack of support from my family.
