Just a comment to say that I have had a good day, and all the past week has been quite good, including well chosen gifts. So it is not all bad.

I hope everyone's luck gets an upswing.

I loved the Vienna houses-- and this post, JRE -- no complaints is a boon -- and shake, things will improve

Ha! I considered contacting you, but our layover was approximately 5 minutes long! Next time...

Gotta type fast here: In the middle of the ocean, no land in sight. Actually a bit like floating in space, no reference points. Incredibly, there is internet, though it's at a premium (hence my brevity).

Ship is swank. Incredible food. Lots of Italians and Germans. More soon...

Holy carp! If anyone needs me I'll be hiding under my desk sucking my thumb. What? Did someone here replace Cthulu's beak gloss with super glue or something?!?

Best mojo and wishes to all them that's needing it today. Which, um, appears to be just about everyone! Eek

Whew. Wish things get better for so many conflicted wigbers.

Back into reality from year's end vacation. It's going to be a strenuous start of the year here, too, country-wide. But there's always something to make one pull through...

I thought you'd cut that out.

The climbing in through an open window. Then the kid let me know he had helped the previous resident do the same. He also kept eyeing my tv and pointed out where somebody had tried to get in my door with a screwdriver before I moved in and damaged the door. All in all the residents of my building are like, in my girlfriend's words, the cast of Melrose Place. Only poor and with cheap cars.

That depends on what you want to do. When you
think of yourself in the future, what do you see
yourself doing and where do you see yourself doing
it?

No prob, next time.

Careful with that incredible food, the Italians are ok but the Germans tend to be a bit fatty.

Yeah but it was years ago I went on a cruise like that. The last cruise was after I stopped drinking and all I did was wander about and drink coffee from their little coffee bar. It was good coffee but I found that unless you have a lot of stops that are fun cruises suck sober.

Less than a months rent, now I have to rig up some sort of alarm. I am thinking a motion sensor attached to a timer and an airhorn.

Well, you could try some consultancy in BR. Here, the less you show your knowledge the higher you go in corporate life... Otherwise you could try BR politics: in this case, if you swear you cannot read or write, you can be elected as governor, mayor or any kind of representative... Your life would be fixed at once and forever... with some 100M$ in the Caymans, mansions at the beach...

Well, the phrase "drink like a sailor" wasn't coined in a vacuum...

Less than a month? Can't be that bad a neighborhood then. As for an alarm, I hear Claymores are guaranteed to wake you up if someone breaks into your pad, and the pellets probably won't go too far through the neighbor's wall.
