Best wishes for your husband, Symmetry!

My day was much less dramatic: wandered around the art quarter, looked at some exhibits, got the hardbound catalogue of the Stanley Donwood exhibit.

Ate at Wagamama! pretty good if shockingly dear. And sleep-inducing. Jet lag is kicking my ass.

Took a few pictures, which I will see if I can upload to photobucket in Safari, as my laptop seems to be having fewer conniptions with Safari than with Firefox. Mostly. Although it's still hanging up at the most inconvenient times.

Good luck with your husband Sym. My father in law had sepsis a month or so ago. They caught it pretty early and he recovered fairly well. But he is in his late 80's. Nasty stuff if you don't catch it in time.

currently uploading photos for the Pink Magic Woman project. came home in a fury of getting-things-done-ness, made my face all pink and sparkly (think Blade-Runner but pink...) and found pink clothes, which was very difficult.
editing the images any minute, whenever Photobucket decides to cooperate...

Yes. That is some very serious stuff.

Best wishes.

Just got these in the mail... Getting back in the groove with this Neuromancer revis thing, re-green-lighting it. I decided we're doing an "All Tomorrow's Neuromancers - starring the WGB" video, or frying a dual-core processor trying. I'm thinking that the reduced "80's" color palette and animating the static character images in After Effects will give the whole thing a cool anime-esque feel, like something churned out by a tweaked AI instantiation of Shirow Masamune.

i was in wagamama last night, i end up spending about £20 there every time, and its really not cheap for what you get.

Can't disagree with you on that, Remote.

But you can also go to other places in the same or higher price category in Europe and not get anything better.

Wagamama is like McDonald's - entirely predictable.

yeah i agree with you. you can certainly get a range of prices, you can pay more or less, and it can be a guide to quality. when babylon was over we went to a place that was probably a bit more expensive, but the food was *really* good, while the service was attrocious. in lyon there was a wagamama clone, which i didn't think was actually as good. i probably eat in wagamama too often, because its easy and reliable, but sometimes i do hit that point where its boring.

Thank you, everyone. Apparently he is eating again and they are saying it was actually a viral infection, so hopefully he's on the mend and will be able to come home soon. Not sure -- visiting hours are about to start so I am going trainwards now.
