Never trust pink meat.

The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear. But the human voice is different from other sounds. It can be heard over noises that bury everything else. Even when it's not shouting. Even when it's just a whisper. Even the lowest whisper can be heard - -over armies... when it's telling the truth.

Ha! the restaurant is actually run by Japanese, not Koreans, so I suppose it's possible.

I don't think one knuckle's worth would really, uh, satisfy me, though. Razz

Well, it might have been the awesome cheese and plum jam (yes, together, they rocked!)! If you ever get invited round the symmetry's for tea and jam, do do accept!

I had one of those moments today, where your mind goes blank and you take two steps back, rewind.

I was at the mall, and out of the corner of my eye I caught a television monitor with a graphic on it out of ‘War Games’, the CNN logo in the corner.

It turns out the airports were having trouble with their computer systems, and planes were being delayed. But that graphic...

Tweek!

My godmother died last night.
She was one of my favourite people.
I owe her a lot.

Her death is not a surprise, but it still hurts.
For the past 5 years, I had been steeling myself for this.
As a result, I'm not crying, and I merely feel like utter crap.

Meanwhile, my sister is crying. She just told me on Facebook.

Strange times....

I'm sorry. I felt a bit like that when my godmother died. She was more like my grandmother than my real grandmothers.

Same here.

Actually, she felt like a second mother to me.
She's the one who got me interested in traveling.
She paid for my flight-school lessons.

Last time I talked to her, she told me :
"You kids really should enjoy yourselves while you can.
Once you get old, it's too late."

Now, that's advice I like to hear, from someone past 90.

I'm sory Arkan. Her advice sounds a lot like that which my great aunt told me before she passed. "Don't talk about where your going to go." was something I took to heart.

Sorry to hear that, Arkan. The most important thing about losing people you love is remembering why you loved them, and why their loss is so such a sorrow.

He got tired of his old sig, and changed it.
