Sorry to hear of your and your family's loss. Arkan. But that was some wise advice, indeed.

Pregnant mummy to be meat from the October mummies board on the baby site I use. Was wonderful.. afternoon tea at the Wolsey (amazing place, but lack of tea and cake top ups.. there are bette afternoon teas around, but might head back there for brekkie one day!), and just so comfortable, like we had known each other for many years.

Thanks for the link, G-R. According to their test, I'm an INTJ - so I haven't changed at all since I used to do Myers Briggs tests back in the 80s. I'm not sure how much stock I put in such things these days, but when I worked in an office full of educational psychologists twenty years ago, half of us had the same profile. I found that interesting, if only as proof that teams tend to recruit like-minded people. I'm quite pleased that I get a consistent result over a couple of decades, too.

Actually, I'm quite surprised to see that test on the web, as the Myers Briggs people used to be *very* strict on licensing; the MBTI test could only be administered by an accredited person. It may all have changed now, of course, as I've not been involved in psychometric testing for years, so YMMV...

best,
Chris H

Once an INTJ, always an INTJ. I am also a member of the mastermind posse.

Tonight I met up with a friend and helped her with some maths and then we had cheap eats.

Yup, an INTJ Info Tech d00d here. Who'da thunk it. Smile

I think when I was younger I used to get a cross between INTJ and INTP. Actually, what is pretty hilarious is we made a buddy who is well known for his completely random actions take the test and he got a 4-way cross.

It explained a lot about why he was so unpredictable to us. On any given decision he had a 50-50 shot of jumping the way you didn't expect.

I hope you think of her while having fun. I do not think your godmother would want you to be sad for her, Arkan.

As for Myers-Brigg, we had a few previous experiences, back in the past. Many missing names, in those threads.

As for results, in the four years since I last tried it, I have gone from InTP to InTj. I suspect I am becoming a curmudgeon in my old age. Probably fits with my name change, however.

I am busy giving our carport the 2nd coat of stain. This has been made possible because I finally made a decision that I'm not going back to school.

Going back to school was number 3 on my list of choices for things to do with my life starting this fall, and I was trying to hedge my bets by starting school until I found out if I was going to be hired for number 1 or number 2 jobs on my list.

I decided that going to school for one week (with a really intense introduction week) might lesson my chances for landing job number 1 where I'll be interviewing on Tuesday (fire up your mojo cannons soon), as I would probably be exhausted when I went to the interview.

I could also see that it really wouldn't be realistic to go back to school full time while living an hour's commute away and having 2 kids, and that if options number 1 or 2 don't pan out, that I'd actually prefer to be unemployed (benefits are 2 1/2 times the student stipend I would receive) than be stressed out by school.

I just didn't feel the "Yes, this is what I want to be doing" while sitting in the classroom, and decided to stop immediately.

a damned wasp just crawled up my shirt and stung me right under my right armpit. All out of anti-bug sting ointment at home some I'm currently sitting with an icepack in my armpit trying to decide if I should clean the brushes before going downtown to buy some ointment - also wondering if I'm going to paint anymore today or if it's going to hurt too much.¨

This is only the 2nd time I was stung by a wasp - the first time one got me on my neck under my ear and it hurt a hell of a lot more than this time where it got me in an area with a lot more fatty tissue. It felt sort of like my bra was pinching me, but since I wasn't wearing one, I guessed it was a wasp. Sure enough there it was laying on the painting drop cloth - so I stamped the damned thing to death.

Owww......

at least I have an ice cold frappé that I'm drinking...(thanks again to striv for the frappé instructions)

If you have ammonia at home, a 1% solution is quite good to reduce pain and swelling from swelling, if used not long after the bite. As most household uses are 10%, check the actual concentration. Something to do with denaturalizing polypeptides and ramping down the body's anaphylactic response.

I may go to class myself, but only a week. Some kind of 20 hour course on innovation and technological watch, including a discussion on the fine line between watching and spying...

The old wife next door recommended vinegar or ammonia as well - I tried vinegar, then googled it (and saw it was on old wive's tale) and decided to bike to the pharmacy and back to buy the ointment. Currently recooling both ice packs in the freezer (I needed one on Monday due to back to school headache and forgot to put it back in the freezer)

Arkan, my condolences. *hugs*

Fashpo: Hope that sting gets better. Those things hurt! Sit back, relax, and try not to think about it.

And, I found out today that I'm an ENFJ. Like Oprah!
