Lithos is under the mistake expression that you misspoke I believe.

I don't think he has ever been married.

The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear. But the human voice is different from other sounds. It can be heard over noises that bury everything else. Even when it's not shouting. Even when it's just a whisper. Even the lowest whisper can be heard - -over armies... when it's telling the truth.

Hey, if your modifier dangles... even if it's parenthetical...

If your modifier dangles you should consult a physician.

If it dangles parenthetically, you clearly need to go to the ER.

Looks like one of my photos has been selected for inclusion in an exhibition called "An eye for colour" at the @Bristol centre in town next month, so I'm rather chuffed.

best,

Which reminds me.

Any one else remember a crazy-arse Spanish TV show (Iberian Peninsula-type Spanish, not Yucatán Peninsula-type Spanish) called Choof, about two hombres stuck on an archetypal desert island. Could understand a word of it, but every now and then a rubber-foam shark would rock up, and they'd play with it.

Thanks - it's up at the "Eye For Colour" pool. Mine's the very yellow and black one - I'm "Head_First_Only" on Flickr.

Cheers

I'm sorry.

Turn in your guy card at the desk on the left.

(kidding! I have never played that game and I am quite sure I would suck at it)

Yesterday I bought a calculus textbook and a couple of workbooks, and last night I started working through it.

I'm planning to do some Physics study next year, basically as a hobby. I'm enrolling in a Graduate Certificate initially but may well convert to a Masters program.

The family is torn between being proud of me and recognizing that I am, more than ever, the Compleat Geek.

My team won Monday's pub quiz, by a 50 points margin.
We were impressed.

Bravus: If you ever need textbook/book recs, let me know. For calculus, I recommend the funny and no-bullshit How to Ace Calculus and How to Ace the Rest of Calculus, along with the Calculus and Advanced Calculus Demystified books. For a proper textbook that is my personal "look it up" calc dictionary, Stewart is my man. But mostly, I rely on this site:
http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/

And so ends my unsolicited advice.

It is sunny out, woo!
