Smile but you know we're right, Minx!!

I'm keeping my job. Smile
I know, I was talking about how I didn't really care about it and I hated it and blah blah blah... but then I was thinking, this time next year I'm going to be in Nursing School. So what is the point of looking for another job that I'll hold for 6-8 months then drop for school?
Why not just... stay here a little longer?
So I'm happy Smile
Plus I've studied my Biology all day and I'm meeting with my Lab Partner later so I'm feeling good about my resolution to buckle down and do this in regards to school.
8) happy robot!

Went through two interviews.

Today I heard that I'm in the team, but tomorrow I'll have another interview (kind of formal stuff). Then I'll be able to breath better and keep heartbeats under 120bpm...

Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ???

BTW, as I've been almost two days out of this board...

1st: GR, nice to know you went through your flu...
2nd: GR nice to hear about your plans. I have a sister-in-law that works as nurse. A very interesting and gratifying job !!!
3rd: I hope you all good luck for the next few days (I'll probably be off of WGB for some time)

^ Good luck with the job finalization!

I am toying with the idea of switching jobs right now too. Unfortunately, the Flash monkey job that my friend had open--and which I suddenly realized I could do even though it's nothing remotely IT-related--has already been filled. Would been pretty nice too. About $65k a year and you're not allowed to work overtime because you're in some graphic arts union, lol...

Plus you get occasional military flight simulator time. *drools*

I'm sort of in a transitionary phase myself. Been lookin' at the ads and am glad to have the network I do, 'cause it is dismal for someone in my position. I think I can land with my feet firmly planted in something nice, but this freefall is getting a tad nauseating.

Go 4 it! Kick that institutional butt Big Grin

I was going to finish up writing the treatment for Meru's song "Meridian" last night but ended up doing a second draft of "Neurofinancer" the second All Tomorrow's Neuromancers instead since it was fresh in the mindspace. I did have the broad, aerial-view concept for the video though. I should be able to finish this tonight, just having to work through another verse and a chorus then break it all down shot by shot. It's turning out to be somewhat epic, in the space odyssial sense, but budget deficit hasn't kept me from reaching for stars in the past, and I remain firmly optimistic especially given Meru's superb track.

Moved into the new office.

Lots of glass. No bean bags, no xboxs, but a fridge that works. Yeah!

So at the bar last night an asian guy ran up a $145 tab before vomiting all over the floor. I cleaned got him cleaned up and found his ride and mopped up the mess.

Am I racist to think it funny that an asian guy vomited rice all over the floor?

Yeah.
Not quite sure when stability became such a necessity.

MrsK and I met up with Crash, Titanium Wren and Symmetry last night. I was a little late from my market research session, they were already demolishing a couple of deer. Had a drink and a dessert and ticked off two more entries in the "Eye Spy book of WGBers".

We managed to miss 2 buses as we headed to the bus stop, and then took 20 minutes to find a cab, with no more buses in sight.
