Woot. I like looking at clouds. Retro-wasted memory induction. Thanks for that, Anabel :-)

Me too, but nearly all of them still refuse to face up to it.

Today I ate more delicious New Mexican food (in Santa Fe for a few days), drove and walked around with the wife, saw awesome scenes of massive blue-black thunderstorms ripping in over bare red rocks, and drank some damn fine coffee (Aroma, a Santa Fe roaster). If I had a guitar with me, it would be perfect. Though to be honest, a couple more days here will probably have me ready to throttle the stereotypical rich Southwestern pseudo-hippies who abound here.

That's why I like Arizona, south of Tucson. The sky is just as pretty and the pseudo-hippies stay in Tucson, or in their "secret enclaves" in St. David, leaving the rest of us to enjoy the lovely scenery. Bisbee has *real* dirty hippies, which I don't mind as much.

@bic, it was a priceless manifestation! My batteries were fucked! I was laughing out loud.

And too, have spent some hours on my back watching the images go by...very lazy, very sweet.

But catching the FSM was a...uh...revelation!

Here we go, bullshit meetings for the rest of the morning. Project management, then licensing. Death would be more fucking amusing, TBO

Fine thanks. Wondering what happened to you...

I, too, had a meeting tongight, a photo club meeting. I've learnt to turn up about an hour late, so I don't have to sit through the actual meeting portion of 'em. I hedged my bets this time, though, and bought a photo that was one of two possible categories (because they keep changing them for arcane reasons science has yet to fathom) and chucked in this one.

Apparently my last one "lacked impact." Too bad I got there after the cops broke his arm.

The dude judging 'em was at least eighty; there was a photo of G for George, and he stated that he remembered when it flew to Tamworth to raise more for war bonds...

Been real busy with family life, helping Mrs Bic complete her end of year coursework, mountain biking loads and surfing when there's been swell. No real internet or TV time before collapsing each night. Work is crazy busy and hey, i had some duff photo feedback too. Old bastard selected the busty gal for best student, after she read up on portraits and got her pretty friends around for some posing (nice ladeez, mind). "Over and above the coursework" i think he said. Twat. She never even got to printing her own stuff, getting pics published anywhere, or had the balls (or lack of) to enter any competitions, let alone setup her own website, be asked to exhibit, or get some done on canvass for pleased punters - not that i was gonna tell him, like. He just wasn't into surfing and not overly enthused when i stated i'd rather die that photograph a wedding, food or any social type gathering. I guess it would be like showing him some of the Restroom pics - clueless to the new age. Not that i'm bitter :> Just didn't take any pics for a while... but it feels good now, so lookout the 1000 Words thread :-)

Impact is what its about IMO. Both your pics tell a story. What concert was that? Well crisp shot - you get a special access pass? The cops shot - maybe get up close and piss off the stressed policemen - guess it was safer from a distance. Keep it up mate and thanks for all the good advice so far. WGBer's are dependable degenerates, on the whole, and for that, i like 'em, one and all.

God, fuck, I can't believe I can quote this:

ENGAGE SIX-BONGS-BEFORE-BREAKFAST NASAL WHINE (NORTH AMERICAN FEMALE VARIANT)

"They went on forever and th- and I- and we lived in Arizona and the skies alway had little fluffy clouds in 'em and, uh, they were long and clear, and there were lots of stars, at night and, uh, when it would turn- it- they beautiful, the most beautiful skies, as a matter of fact, the sunsets were purple and red and yellow and on fire and the clouds would catch the colours everywhere- that's- it's neat, because I used to look at them all the time when I was little. You don't see that.
