If he writes back with just "What?", I'm afraid we'll have to deputize Bravus to hunt him down for the good of humanity.

Not today, but last weekend. Worked the NASCAR race at the local megaspeedway thingy. Saturday: 9AM to 1AM. Sunday: 9AM to 9PM, then load the trailer twice, waiting for an hour in between for the truck to make the trip back to Phoenix. Brought home $1100. Today was the first time I was able to come out of my ibuprofen-induced semicoma to post. One of the most challenging and fun weekends of my life.

My program at work was inspected by a couple of high muckety-mucks from the mother ship. The chief muckety-muck could have been a WG clone. The resemblance was uncanny. However, he said nothing particularly captivating, so ultimately it was just one long tease with no payoff.

No. Haven't dived in a while, and it's the outside cartali- cartiligan rubbery-flexy bit. Feels like an insect stung it. Am more worried it's not a stinging insect but a cockroach who's laid my eggs in it and has its young burrowing in. Yeah. Although it first appeared after a long session on the computer with my Sennheisers on. quote: Originally posted by heavyboots: If he writes back with just "What?", I'm afraid we'll have to deputize Bravus to hunt him down for the good of humanity.

Actually it's more like a class. There is this dude that sort of lectures at each meeting. Last meeting he set aside to display pics from whomever brought with and it turned out quite a few had brought a cd with them. (I brought my memory stick). So yeah, most of us amateurs and shooting a digital compact. But there are analog people around too. Someone brought prints with last week. They showed them around right away. and the discussion subject is mostly focused on analog slr shooting. Τα παιδεία παίζει.

Oh, and yeah, there was a big fuck-off hailstorm today. Came in, shat all over us for fifteen minutes, then pissed off. The power went out, so, bored, I left the house to find entertainment (in the city, where I am now). On the way, the section of Windsor Road behind my block was completely blocked off (Gromit may remember it, vaguely - it's where we drove to get to Milton), because the tin off the Windsor Road Baptist Church flipped off. And sliced through our goddamned power lines. I'd say it says a lot about god's opinion of churches, but it's was a Baptist church, so maybe it wanted to get wet.

hope you had a good birthday yesterday crash. i'll see you at the weekend, no doubt email you closer to the time or something. misty, you need to get whoever you are talking to to speak louder, not surgically insert the phone. my brother is the worst, he speaks far too quiet, so i'm always having to ease up on the phone and say "hey gonnie speak a bit louder, by the way"

No. Sounds Trekkie-ish. That church damaged in the storm may have to come down, according to the news. Which will suck, as the demolition will no doubt block access to the nice picnic table they've set up next to it, where I like to read my letters from Meru and watch the sun set over Ashgrove.

I've had the nicest morning for a long, long time. I haven't been posting here since I started working again in late August - working full time with 2 kids is kind of a board habit killer.
This morning, I sent off hubby with the 2 daughters at the usual time - which left me with more than an hour to drink coffee, read my news paper and bask in the silence of absent children. Wonderful.
Then I went to my daughter's school, cause her class was doing morning song in front of the whole school and us invited parents. And she sang solo, which I knew of course, since I've been rehearsing lyrics for the past month - and it was heartbreaking. I cried my eyes out, she was so lovely and she sings like an angel (contemporary, that is). I've turned into a total crybaby whenever my kids are involved in anything. Luckily, she wasn't embarrassed - she just thought I was funny.
