Yesterday, I was driving to work and this came on
the radio. I was marveling about how civil the WGB
is (even on the issue of gun control) compared to
some of those other fora.

So... children in restaurants?

Children are fine in restaurants. As long as they're not overcooked.

Ketchup can mask the overcooked taste.

Shit, if I'm masking bad flavor with ketchup, I might as well stay home and eat my own children, rather than pay for the meal in a restaurant.

True. OTOH, I'm not the best person to discuss
this. Being a vegetarian, I end up eating
children-flavored wheat gluten. It's probably
not quite the same thing, although I hear that
mock-meat technology has been making tremendous
strides.

It's not really that different from tvp cooked in children broth, to be honest. Given that tvp is cheaper, the choice is fairly obvious. But sometimes, you just want a meal like mom used to make.

Guys don't like it when ladies mock the meat.

Hmmm, that headhunting massage... I mean message. The job would rock, give me something like 1.6-1.9 times my present salary and save me 6-7 years at least on the promotion treadmill. It would be much more fun than what I'm doing now (which is already pretty fun).

Trouble is, Suzie has just got her first 'real' full time job for a while, and that's my fault for dragging her around the pace as I changed jobs. Her job is about an hour's commute east of where we live now, and that's making her too tired, so we had decided to move in that way. It's closer to my current job too.

My new job, if I got it, would be an hour *west* from where we live now, and that much further from where we would move to. There might be solutions, but it basically comes down to whether the money would make a lifestyle where we saw each other much less worthwhile. It'll require some thought. It may even be that I could convince the new mob to move the job in closer...

Heh, I've been saying 'the intention is to settle where I am for the foreseeable future, but never say never... and then something comes along...'

Still, lovely to have options and offers... dilemmas are not complaints.
