Arg, I may be whining too much. It's just difficult and here is where I vent

i don't think any of us are criticising you or trying to give you a hard time. i (hope) its that understanding between friends - you come here and vent, and we try and encourage, support, chuck our tuppence into the mix, and then do our own venting.

my normal lunch is a box of salad that i make up every night before i go to bed - mixed leaf, mixed veg, handful of nuts, handful of dried fruit. sorted.

my first day here i didn't know where i would be or when i would be. so i didn't bring lunch. so ended up going to the van in the car park - by that time i was starving - got a steak pie, chips, and beans - it hit the spot nicely. my new "boss", who had been nowhere to be seen till i was tucking in chose that moment to appear - "looks like a healthy lunch there!".

had salad yesterday. he was out. had a salad today. he was out. office manager suddenly decides he is going to chip job for a bag of fritters. so even though i've had my lunch i can't resist a couple of friters, years since i've had them, and these were very nice. but of course thats the point my boss makes his reappearance. won't believe i have salad for my lunch - oh well.

sitting eating an apple now Smile

On my commute home from work I saw a guy who had taken a washing machine onto the train with him.

Looked like one he had just purchased and not an old travel companion.

I was presented with a challenge. How to get the post office to move a little over a ton all in one shipment. 20 boxes @ 50+ lbs each cost a bit over 200usd. I sent a good portion of our legal library to a Oregon college at a minimal cost.

THe hard part was pulling over a ton on a hand cart from the 58th floor to the loading dock at street level.

I had a cavity filled, and as it happened the novocaine numbed my cheek and gums but not the tooth itself. At first the drilling felt as it normally does, and then she hit the nerve. That was surprising.

Ouch!

She ought to be persuaded to hire an anesthetician if she can't figure out the proper dosage!

I've vomited on dentists for less...well, one dentist anyway.

The day before yesterday, I cooked chicken with indian spices in the solar cooker. (No pics, though)

Yesterday was rainy. The cooker stayed in the garage.

Today, it is partly cloudy, and I have a pot of oatmeal in there. I figure if it doesn't work, I'm out $0.50 US of oatmeal, instead of $3.50 worth of chicken.

We reached a verdict in the trial in which I was on the jury. It's over. They can't grab me again for at least a year. What a miserably boring experience!
Gee, now I can go back to work, which so exciting too.
Oh, well. Life is like that sometimes.

It might be a hopeless case- That is what my new lawyer said- But, he wants to plan for the future- I wondered why my first lawyer didn't think like this?-

This guy dresses much better anyhow- Tho,I still don't trust him-

Indeed you will need some luck. After two days of listening to lawyers my opinion of them is lower than ever. Which I didn't think possible three days ago. So good luck with all!

A lawyer is like a hammer, it can be used for good or evil, but it's always a tool.
