Only Sunday, 8:30am here. Staggered out of bed, reading WGB, eating a banana and drinking caffeinated water. Will air up mtn bike and go for a ride in a few minutes.

Did a ton of shopping yesterday, washed the car and then watched about half of The Wire Season 3. Damn that show is good!

Yesterday, at 7pm, I parked my truck with a for sale sign on it, at a lot on I400. Last night at 8opm I got a call about it. Today, at 830am, I sold it! I sold it for more than I paid for it!

Buy low, sell high.

Aw, c'mon! Mine was so long I posted it elsewhere and put a link up on Personal Canon. Don't let wordiness hold you back.

C'mon!

I went on a bit of a google this morning to see which libraries around the world might have picked up my Undead Theories book. Heaps bought the earlier book (Weaving Narrative Nets), but probably as much because it was part of a series as on its own merits.

In the process I found this reference, in a place I wouldn't really expect to find myself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photomontage

Turns out I'm being used on Wikipedia as a source for the term 'photoshopping': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photoshopping

It ain't 'cyberspace', but it's cool in a sideways way.

A couple of things I love about this post. You "discovered" something in your own house Smile and that a few years back the women in my family discovered so called "edible" flower pots. Sugar flowers with dirt made of crushed oreo.

Yummy, and I would totally be all about edible cookie dirt.

The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear. But the human voice is different from other sounds. It can be heard over noises that bury everything else. Even when it's not shouting. Even when it's just a whisper. Even the lowest whisper can be heard - -over armies... when it's telling the truth.

yours is great, sloane!

i.. i think just the writing of mine (well a quarter of it anyway if that's where i leave it) is what i needed from the exercise. and in some ways, perhaps because of the way i've lived my life (not too heavy on achievement and involvement in much other than relationships and emotion) i'm not sure whether it suits a cribbs note style format. maybe it's also a power play on my part that i only really want people to get me if they can nut it out themselves.

i cut and pasted and emailed it to myself instead.

Loved it! While reading your bio I saw a few things we have in common. I hated Dune Messiah, I am half mexican american and half scotch irish . Lab work can suck. Love dogs too. That is about it. Thanks for the link..... Oh, and my american boxer rules.

Tonight, while driving on a dark road, a lightning bug hit the winshield. It was beautiful and kinda tragic.

Haha yeah, I haven't got enough bandwidth in my Ono-Sendai Cerebyte 4000 mind-link to upload All Purpose Acting V3.0, the Best of Ethan Hawke add-on, and download my pop cultural history from those old cobwebby IBM mainframes. My tubes are tied!

was at a gig last night. the loudest i've been to in a long time. DJ before the band was playing noise, and it was louder than most bands. so the band were just about this wall of guitar noise. i feel so deaf today. normally i hear the first bleeps of my alarm, which starts quiet and get louder, instead this morning i heard the first vibration of my phone alarm. but i guess at least it means i was too deaf to be woken by the birds this morning. though given i scraped ice from the car window as i left this morning, maybe it was too damn cold for them - and this is summer!
