OK, this is just a weird coincidence.
I've been in a kinda cyberpunk frame of mind recently 'cos I'm rereading Neuromancer (after this site reminded me of just how good it is). On Sunday, I finished recording a song called 'Signal To Noise', that I tried to give a pretty cyberpunkish kinda sound to (or at least, my idea of a cyberpunk kinda sound, which is nothing like Mr Idol's I have nothing insightful to say about this, but it just struck me as an odd coincidence so I thought I'd comment on it. -- obscurity. And then, did you notice that at the precise moment (11:10 a.m. PST on 1-30-03) that you posted your new topic in which your completion of a "cyberpunkish" song called "Signal to Noise" formed part of a coincidence, fuldog posted HIS new topic complaining of the prescience of "cyberpunkish musicians"? No way either of you could have known of the other's posting, and they both appeared side by side for the first time during the same exact minute, one from England, the other from Mexico. We're talking serious ramification here, dudes.

...so then that pesky pop-up that keeps appearing, telling me to "check what's going' on at the Gibson forum now" isn't spam? Mmmhh.. so that's why that "wmute" signature sounded familiar to me...
Erm... I sincerely hope this doesn't have anything to do with something like in Orson Scott Card's "Deep Breathing Exercises" short story... |
