I ron e mo ne

The feeling of dispair and depression, including a lack of sufficient energy to do anything to rectify the situation, which so often follows being struck in the head with a clothes iron. Sometimes accompanied by an inexplicable fake french accent. Ex. "Ah! My head it feels flat like ze prezzed shirt. I cannot get up now. It is not worth ze effort to live anymore. Ah! The ironemone!"

OK strike that earlier pronounciation.

ironemone - [pronounced ear - own] A French grammatical term for words in the French language with 3 or more entirely silent letters in a row, generally at the end of the word [comme ils marchent]. The word has also acquired a common idiomatic meaning as the 'small print' at the end of a contract that screws you over.

ironemone
[pronounced iron - mon] (both e's are silent) Of Pali origin, a simple wooden massage device now known to have been exported overland from present day Himachal Pradesh [HP} to Beijing circa 150 BCE.
Originally, the ironemone was used by Himalayan Buddhist monks for spinal massages. However, according to modern Chinese oral history, this wonderous wooden massaging wheel was not a Hindustani import but rather "designed by a student of Chinese acupuncture who happened to also be a Hatha Yoga student...and is the result of meditations on the five elements as given in the Huang Ti Nei Jing (The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine)."

It can now be bought at Shaper Image stores nationwide in the United States of America for $89.99.

He was pushed hard, or tickled by Bravus's' sea anenomes, but Colin takes this one for the inspired focus on pronunciation. Ah, Ambassador, with zese ironemone you are really spoiling uuus.

Hit us, Colin...

For those OED derivation junkies out there, I conflated the words "Irony" and "Anemone".

paesiodactile

Having the ability to pleasure one's self while taking confession. Not to be confused with a similar word, also widely used in the Catholic church, "paediotactile."

Paesiodactile (pay-see-oh-dak-tīŭl) adjective

Of or pertaining to the ability to simultaneously engage in high-level mental exercises while performing a complex sensory task (e.g., tasting food or reading text) without a noticeable decline in efficiency for either activity.

Syn: Multi-tasking
Ant: Concentrated, focused, undivided

Imagine: A thousand Buddhist eyes staring at you from across a rice-paddy field, the zeal and hunger in their eyes. And one lifts his fist high in the air, raising the battlecry, "EMBRACE THE TAO!!!!" Then organized chaos ensues.

Paesiodactile:

The world's first ever shlock-rock group, formed some time after the cretaceous period. Their slightly below-par brand of asynchronised yelling shot to fame when they hit upon the idea of brutally murdering several audience members each show, using their semi-tame pterodactyl. As it flew among the audience, dismembering left and right, they would scream 'Pterodactyl' in triumph... but they felt they had to change it to Paesiodactile for the American market.

Paesiodactile
Term used to describe an irregular system of measurement associated with the Clovis Point culture; first noted by Dr. Hamish J. Beerewether at a Falling Stag site in the Iron Creek section of the Talkeetna Mountains. Indentations in the walls there and at other sites match the distinctive fluted projectile points used by the Paleoindians.

Dr Hamish was the first to understand that these marks were the archeological record of a system of measurement based upon the ratio of foot size to the size of certain reproductive organs. It is speculated that the Paleoindians used the system to record the distance of herd migration from seasonal camp sites.

Paesiodactile

refering to a curious ability found only in the idigenous fish of the Galopogos Islands, allowing them profound motorcontrol an dexterity with fins and tail. these fish, through a fluke synchronicity in geographical and evolutionary forces, have learned to hunt smaller prey by grabbing, and have also developed complex and, at times, x-rated mating rituals.
