Over the weekend I threw out a couple of kilos of the kid's old coloured pencils and dried up felt tips. Amazingly, at the bottom of the drawer I found my Schaeffer fountain pen - something I thought was lost for good (though those of you with kids will know how stuff wanders).
Anyway, I took it to work, cleaned it out, inked it up and started to use it. Thing is, after five or six years of ballpoints I'd forgotten just what a
pleasure writing with wet ink is. More importantly, as well as the tactile goodness it's making me write at a more measured pace; not slowly exactly, just more... considered.
So I'm hooked again, but I need a new pen to leave at work. The Schaeffer's nice and smooth and a good cartridge fuelled carry about, but I quite fancy a nice pen and a bottle of ink on my desk so I can do more of my working thinking on paper.
So I've had a look at
Cultpens (as recommended by Mirrorgirl from way back) and salivated, but now I'm spoilt for choice.
Any nib-scratchers out there know of a good work-a-day pen?

Reality is, of course, an illusion. But it's a *real* illusion.
