Sure, that's what I said. But 5 skinheads on one dude isn't a "good fight" is it? No denying, as I've not denied, and agree with, that MMA training will equip a person well to mix it up a bit, give them a better idea that most "traditional" (in quotes as I know some folks that do traditional arts with traditional training that I in now way want to fight with) schools will impart to their students. I also agree, as I also stated, that mindset is the most crucial factor in a fight (as opposed to awareness, the most crucial factor prior to a fight). But I don't see that as being self-defense except in that the resulting fighting spirit may significantly lower your odds of being selected as a victim. |

yes, me was drunk. we was barhopping in joensuu, me and my gypsy friend texi, and the skinheads got obviously exited about texi and a stare down contest followed. texi stared down the skinhead confronting him. he had to make amends, so he stole my shades from the top of my head and ran to the street from the stairwell where the stare down took place other skinheads following his lead. texi had the good sense to leave it be and enter the club. my shades were worth 5€. i, on the other hand took it as an insult, which is was. if i've been sober, i would've let the asshole keep the trinket, but i ran after them to the street and grabbed the guy abd my shades and the rest is history.. a lesson learned. me wasn't looking for a fight. just was drunk enough to think that i could take on five skinheads simultanously. iq of a cactus (don't intend to offend cactuses) and concentrationspan of a housefly. i agree with you on the mindset. that is the alpha and the omega. ~Alcohol's supposed to kill braincells. I love that one. Particularly, as the Villian indicates, it's funnier if you know who they are. Particularly if you've ever seen a Silva fight, he maddogs like a...uh..Axe Murderer? |

in the spirit of macho bullshit bravado let me tell you it takes lots and lots of more skinheads or wildboars or whatever to incapacitate me. that night, i got up when i came to, went into the clubs mens room (i knew the bouncers on a first name basis), wiped away the blood, continued drinking, scored pussy, didn't ejaculate and went to doctors next day. siberia is the harshest teacher there is, but also most qualified, as the saying goes and yes i know, i'm an asshole. but a handsome one ~Alcohol's supposed to kill braincells.
