Well, lots of new trailers up at Apple since the beginning of the month. Here's my thoughts on the most interesting ones.

ROLLBOUNCE uh, well, I dunno what to think about this one, except it stars Bow Wow, who I guess is getting too big to be called LiL anymore...

House of Wax Yeah. The House of Wax. WhoopdyFuckinDoo. Cool dripping candle person poster tho. Probably the only cool thing. But Dragon, you say, it's got Paris (That's Hot) Hilton in it... Yeah. Paris Hilton. WhoopdyFuckinDoo.

House of D Hey, look David Duchovny wrote and directed a movie! I knew he'd come back eventually from whatever black hole he got sucked into after quitting the X-Files. You know it's gonna be a sure thing cause it's A) a coming of age story set in the 70's and B) starring Robin Williams as a retard mentally challenged person(s).

The Cave Beneath Heaven Lies Hell-Beneath Hell Lies-THE CAVE!!!
Thank god it doesn't come out until the middle of August, otherwise I wouldn't have enough time to prepare for the excitement.

Fantastic Four Oh God, why? Why did I click this, after watching the other trailer for this movie already? I thought my soul had healed but I was wrong...

tetsujin28 Yes! Giant robots duking it out in a major city in Japan! There's something so charming about such a preposterous plot. Shining Boy and Little Randy Oh boy, that's a lot of elephants!!! Too bad my Japanese is too poor to even begin to understand what the hell this one'll be about.

マッハ! Okay, yeah this has a English version trailer, this movie is currently in theaters in America as ONG BAK, despite being released elsewhere for awhile now (at least I remember seeing internet rips of it awhile back, but then, I live in my own made up world, so I could be pinging the bullshit radars). The Japanese trailer kicks so much ass tho. Check it.

Marry Tea Leoni. Lose career. Thus the universe balances itself.

And - cool, we can do Derridean overstrikes now!

Tetsujin 28 is a remake of a manga, I believe, a very old manga, or it might have been an anime at some point. I can't be bothered to go check. Anyway, if I'm not mistaken it was one of the original boy-controls-giant-robot stories. The feeling I get from the trailer is that this movie is a bit of a modernization while also being a bit of a satire of the original and the whole incredibly silly concept.

Wow, lots of movie trailers out there, but it seemed like nothing worth mentioning. Well, after two months, there's probably a few movies to talk about, so here it goes:

RED EYE A new one from Wes Craven. Man, his name is plastered all over the place lately. He must own a nice house.

NIGHT WATCH The first supernatural action blockbuster from Russia. The first chapter in an epic horror trilogy. I wonder if there will be toys...

YES Yes is usually better than No.

THE DEVIL'S REJECTS New one from Rob Zombie, continuing the story of House of 1,000 Corpses. Funny story, certain scenes were rejected by the MPAA as being too intense, despite being devoid of nudity, language or violence. Rob suggested it was like saying a comedy was just too funny. Should be a fun movie, as long as mofos remember to turn their cell phones off... :: pulls out machete::

UNDEAD well, hey looky, another movie featuring people who can't stay dead in the ground... Zombies never seem to go out of style, you can apply any major threat of annhilation (atomic warfare, biological mutations, terrorism, communism) to a huge faceless mass of THE EVIL ENEMY by using zombies and have an instant vehicle for deleivering your bizarre fear information. Or just have an excuse to show rampant mindless cannibalism. Never out of style!

THE MAN WHO COPIED Oh yeah, this one looks fun. Working stiff zoning out in the photocopying store dreams of being a cartoonist and winning the affection of a girl who doesn't know he exists. So he decides money is the answer and gets to work copying.

IT'S ALL GONE PETE TONG Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Huh, what? Can you hear me now?

KONTROLL Cool.

ASHURAJO Not sure what the hell it's about, but it features a hit single by Sting!!!

kokkurisan Umm, hmmm, I think this is a group of schoolgirls being made to fondle demonically possessed pens. But, I could be wrong...

HINOKIO The tagline is "intergalactic love". I mean, of course it is, right?

KYOSHIN Awesome, a new one from Sogo Ishii. Looks slow and dreamy, so ADD kids, go watch Ice Cube pretend to be Van Diesel instead, okay?

Well, that's probably way too much for today. Be sure to post any cool trailers I may have skipped! YAY!

That does look pretty sweet - and I've never seen 1 frame's worth of Firefly on TV. Good thing Space Channel still airs it up here in Canada.

There is/was an option on the site to get tickets for an advanced showing on May 5th for theatres in 10 major cities. Out here they went on sale at 11 and sold out by 1:30, right around the time I heard about it and was reaching for me wallet. Anybody have cryogenic hibernation of time travel working yet?

I'm always late. That's why I don't wear a watch, they depress me.

Yeah Hurts, it seemed like ASD was supposed to be out this summer, but I think they have pushed the release date back to sometime next year. While the animation quality is amazing, it seems to be proving more difficult to pull off than they had anticipated when applied to the entire movie. I've been trying to find a nice copy of it in paperback but no such luck yet, so instead I've installed a .pdf of it on my PDA, so I can be super uber geek math major dork reading Dick in the student lounge before class... I should probably spend the time chatting up the girls, but that might lead to breeding more mutant freaks like myself. Wink

PKD's books seem to have this problem where they only get published in inconvenient large formats. I have no idea why.

Are you kidding? The world needs more mutant freaks. How are we going to survive without mutants!?

My overall plan for saving the world would involve destroying all the puny humans,so you might want to rethink your statement...
