Thanks Noir.

I forgot to mention, there is forum for this project, although noone's posting in it yet:

The Forum

Oh, Bravus, Meru, GR, Hurtz and anyone else interested: how would you guys feel about voice acting? For episode videos, I think it would be an awesome multiplier if that could happen. It might be awkward with all narration and/or subtitles.

TM, that was triffic. Smile

I´d be happy to do some voice stuff if you want volunteers.

That's lookin' sweet, TM.

I am available for VO as well. Or if you're looking for some specific images you think I might have access to.

Awesome. When we get to Finn's place, I'll give you a cyberring Wink

Actually, if you have any photos of the inside of a bar or some nice grey Northwest sky, I think I could use that.

Just got some really encouraging feedback from this group.

Wot eh? Oh hai. i can has break from java?

Very exciting video, mate. I'd love to do voice stuff, as I'm obviously unable to get my shit together to do the visual stuff. And actually it occurred to me that I generally try not to show my face on the WGB so photo acting would be crossing a line, which hadn't occurred to me. More alsoer, my hair is now auburn with blue & turquoise streaks in it. Kinda awkward for casting. It does look quite cyberpunky though, I must admit.

As far as voice stuff goes, we should chat via email again. There's a link to me singing buried somewhere on the WGB (no hints, find it yourself) but I can email you something. I've actually done a fair amount of voice work, including some stuff with accent training. But I have a rather young, almost sweet voice, unfortunately. I think it's unfortunate anyway. Clearly, I SHOULD sound like Janis Joplin.

Alright, cool, I'll do a run through the lattices for it!

Good luck with that summer school as well, it's condensed doses of "arrg!" I know.

Also, Misty, you around? I'll e-mail ya.

Alright, reworkin' the first slice. I'll send out some test dialog to the actors/actresses in a bit just to get a feel for things, throw something down the pipeline and see how it turns out.

All Tomorrow's Neuromancers Episode 1: Cyber Community organizing

Like so many music videos, this started out as a recurring, nascent joke over Skype and in between jam sessions with Junk Magic. After about the fourth Obama impersonation, I realized all the little code snippets were starting to form an executable, something I could throw together in a day in Windows Movie Maker all Lisa Nova like, a thirty second viral blip. But once I got that first scene up, that virtual limelight and virtual crowds and virtual anthems on the monitor, the weight of history, -- or the future, or the history of futures, some cyberspatiotemporal aggregation thereof -- gripped me and pulled me down deep into that vast subconscious sea of creation.

This is of course "set in the world of" the alternate present in All Tomorrow's Neuromancers, however the community organizing is not entirely unserious. If anyone would like to help out, or just talk about/show support, please check out the website, the forum, post ideas, etc.. Also, if anyone knows how to syndicate a blog to a website using feeds that allows people to comment on the site, that would be very helpful.

*Disclaimer: William Gibson does not use a typewriter, Germanic or otherwise, and does not claim to have dreamed, invented, or otherwise created cyberspace. That was Al Gore.
