Done. Last night I sat down after the packers/vikes game and wrote four thousand words. I determined to finish the book, and did. I was worried that forcing myself to write until it was done would make the end feel hurried, but it didn't happen. A hurried end would have been maybe 1800 words, tops. I had to take a break to eat dinner, and another when my hand cramped up, but other than that it was straight writing. It felt great.
So. My book is done. Well, the first draft is done. Last night at around 11pm I wrote The End, signed and dated it. Hell of a thing.

And there was much rejoicing. And the people came down into the valley. And they feasted on goats and lambs and pigs and fruit bats and wallabies and three-toed sloths. And it was good.
"Crush them! No, wait! Crush them momentarily!" Cleavinger yelled, and ran up the dune, "I want Mary to see this!"
"You want me to crush them briefly?" asked the giant, "Because I don't think I can do that. No, when I crush something it's pretty much a one way street. Perhaps you meant In a Moment, or When I get back. Maybe you meant Crush them shortly, which would be a sort of clever thing to say, don't you think?"

I hate wasting bandwidth with new topics. Silly of me, but whatever. Anyway. Unrelated to the Kingdom of Doors and Rooms, my short story thing has been nominated for an award. This award.
So I'm happy and stuff. You can read the nominated story here.
Enjoy, mortal.
